You could make the same point for every nation on Earth. Is Isreal special?
Israel has been granted special status by conservative Christians because they see its existence as the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy.

How else could you rationalize the political decision to support of 5 million Jews, with no oil, at the expense of alienating 1.6 billion Moslems that control much of the world's oil?

Does Israel stop being Israel if another people want to call the nation by another name?
There has been continuous human settlement in Palestine for the last 1,400,000 years.

Jericho is thought to be one of the oldest continuously-inhabited cities in the world - dating back to 9000 BCE.

Gobekli Tepe is though to have one of the world's multi-storied that was thought to capture the sun's rays during the equinox.

There were permanent towns and villages throughout the Neolithic Period (8500-4500 BCE),
Chalcolithic Period (Copper Age 4500-3000 BCE) and independent Canaanite city-states during the Early Bronze (3500-2200 BCE)

It wasn't until the Middle Bronze Age (2200–1500 BCE) that Abraham arrived in about 1900 BCE. After a few generations, the Hebrew went to Egypt as a result of famine and were not to return for another 400 years.

Israeli Jews don't enter walled-in Arab communities, like Bethlehem, where the local population can't leave without a government pass.

With no work and no hope, this becomes a breeding ground for potential "terrorists" who are prisoners in their own land.

Prior to statehood, the Irgun and Stern Gang resorted to violence and bombings to force the British to provide them with their own state - so Israel shouldn't be too surprised when the same tactics are used against them.

People forget context. Years ago there was no wall. People could go from West Bank and Gaza cities into Israel without too much trouble. Ten of thousands worked in Israel. Israelis went into places like Jenin to go shopping.

Israel didn't build the fence (it is not a wall in most places) just to be nasty. It was a security response to a horrible period of suicide bombings.

The Stern gang and Irgun were not the leading military group in pre-State Israel (Mandate Palestine). Whether they were terrorist organizations in the modern sense of the term is a matter of some debate.
