I meant for this thread to go under ECT, but my old brain failed to place it properly. Is anyone able to move it there?

The most dangerous doctrine is faith alone.
I'd have to say, any doctrine that adds anything; water baptism, good works/deeds, confession of every single sin, etc, to the death and resurrection of Christ, is the most "dangerous" doctrine/teaching. If one places faith in anything else other than Christ and His work on the cross, there's a BIG problem. Faith is the prerequisite to forgiveness of sin and the promise of eternal life.
Your "belief system" is dangerous to the truth of Scripture. Your denial of the "true Gospel" will keep you out of the presence of God.
The most dangerous doctrine is faith alone.
Ephesians 2:8-9, Faith alone is a principle doctrine of the reformation.
Paul is saying 'not of the purification works' the people used to have to do.
Paul isn't saying 'no more having to obey God'.
Paul is saying that our works are a direct result of our believing in Christ by grace thriugh faith.
A person can believe and NEVER obey.
Just because one believes does not mean they are saved.
We have to believe and obey.
People just repeat things their pastor of choice says.
There are many people who believe in Jesus and do not obey.
So BR saying Paul is saying that our works are a direct result of our believing in Christ is NOT TRUE. No scripture anywhere says that.
