The Law of Moses Has Not Been Abolished

The people even wept when they saw the finished second temple...WEPT...why? Because it DID NOT have the glory of the first...

Nor did it shelter the ark of the covenant, which was it's purpose.

The temple was a facade.

Nor did it shelter the ark of the covenant, which was it's purpose.

The temple was a facade.

Yes and yes INDEED...the GLORY had rested on the seat of mercy over the LAW

And yet at His death the curtain was still ripped from TOP to BOTTOM which separated all but one from the Law and its Glorious Mercy...

But now that the One who administered the Law died and was raised a worthy sacrifice we have both the Law and Glorious Mercy in our hearts and minds...

HalleluYah...

The torn veil revealed the emptiness of the Jewish religion showing it was based on nothing.

The covenant contained in the box was gone, lost to the Jews.

Now they could see.

Oh good grief...what dont you understand about the new Jerusalem descending from Heaven?

Are you really so uninformed? The new Jerusalem which will come down from heaven is a pert of the new heaven and the new earth, and those things will not be until the first heaven and the first earth are passed away (Rev.21:21-22).

What the Lord Jesus said here was in answer to His disciples' question about what will be the signs of His coming to the earth on which they were then standing:

"When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory" (Mt.25:31).

How do we know that the question concerned the present earth?:

"And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?"
(Mt.24:1-3).

Of course the disciples' question was in regard to the signs of His coming to the earth then present. The Lord was speaking about the temple which was standing on the present earth.

You would have us throw our reason to the wind and imagine that the disciples were asking Him what will be the signs of His coming to the New Jerusalem. You must come to the realization that not everyone is foolish like you are and very few people are going to believe the fables which you make up.

So the Jewish religion which the LORD Himself gave to Israel was based on nothing. You have lost your mind and haven't found it yet!

The "Jewish" religion was never given to Israel. The tribes of Israel were long gone before the Judeans were taken to Babylon, from which they have never recovered.

The religion established by YHVH was recorded in the Torah, which Judaism is not.

One of the aspects of the Law of Moses was that it could not be modified, nothing added, nothing removed.

No, not a heavenly throne. It will be an earthly throne, the throne of David:

" Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth" (Jer.23:5).

From the very beginning the throne of David and the Davidic kingdom were both earthly in nature, as witnessed by the following words:

"Then sat Solomon upon the throne of David his father; and his kingdom was established greatly" (1 Ki. 2:12).

Solomon sat upon the throne of David on the earth and his kingdom which was established was one which was earthly. In regard to "David's throne" we read that Gabriel told Mary the following:

"He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end" (Lk.1:32,33).

Since you have no place for the fulfillment of these prophecies in the future according to your eschatology you must somehow spiritualize them all away.

The law of Moses was given to the nation of Israel long before anyone was taken to Babylon. The law of Moses was given to the nation of Israel beginning at Exodus 19:5.

You really should leave this forum and read the Bible because it is obvious that you are not learning anything by participatng on this forum. You are just a waste of other people's time.

Paul said we should seek a heavenly city not an earthly one but the Dispy rejects that to worship the people of the flesh.

All earthly thrones and kingdoms are believed to be by divine right...so in a sense even earthly thrones are spiritual...especially if they have no end...I mean the king or queen would have to live forever...David did not

And the Lord shall give unto him the throne...not jesuit Zionist hands...not Babylon...His kingdom is NOT of this world...

Come out of Babylon His people...

You were talking about a "heavenly" throne and not a "spiritual" one:

Right...ok so He comes with a loud trumpet sound and with His angels and seated on a throne...heavenly throne...the dead rise first...then those alive...and we head heavenward...

So do you now admit that the following verse is speaking about a kingdom which will be on the present earth and which will be fulfilled in the future?:

"Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth"
(Jer.23:5).

Believers will indeed dwell in the heavenly Jerusalem after the millennium Kingdom comes to an end. And that will not happen until the present heaven and earth pass away (Rev.21:1-2).

And that will not happen until the Lord Jesus hands over His earthly kingdom to the Father:

"Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power"
(1 Cor.15:24).

It is obvious that at this point in time the Lord Jesus has not yet destroyed all dominion, authority and power.

The law of Moses was given to the nation of Israel...

The law was given to the nation of Israel, which was made up of thirteen tribes.

Judaism is a man-made religion based on bits and pieces of the Law of Moses.

The main thing Judaism lacks is atonement with the Father since they reject Christ's reconciliation.

The Law of Moses is in abeyance. It will once again be in force in the future:

"And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate" (Dan.9:27).

Dodge ball...

Yes, or no-is the law abolished?

Galatians 3:24 KJV Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

Romans 3:20 KJV Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Romans 7 KJV
7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

"Half time adjustment," Jerry, as the law served its purpose for Paul, but not the lost today?

Daniel 9 is a prophecy for the last days when the antichrist gives the command to restore and rebuild Jerusalem and the temple. The law of Moses will be reinstated and the whole world will bow to the beast or be blotted out. The antichrist will command legions of fallen angels to do his bidding so men with tanks and aircraft carriers will be as toys to them. There's a scene in the new superman vs. batman movie where these flying winged creatures take over the world which is close to the 5th and 6th trumpets of Revelation.
