Thinking of Star Trek by the time of Star Trek: The Next Generation the Feeration had entered a post capitalist society where money didn't exist anymore. They never really explained how that really work. Captain Picard did mention sonmethign about mankind no long had any desire for "accumulation of things" but that was very vauge. How the heck did society get 10-11 billions humans to not have any desire for "accumulation of things".
Material needs no longer exist? Excuse me? People will always need food, clothing, housing, access to energy, etc.
Again, how do you convince 10-11 billion people to not desire the "aquisition of wealth" and instead desire to better oneself and rest of humanity?
