sin/sins is not the issue today!

The point of the OP is that sin/sins is not the issue today

2 Corinthians 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Reconciliation was made! The problem that separated us from God was solved by Jesus Christ! Salvation is available to all men as the one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, gave Himself a RANSOM FOR ALL to be testified in due time! The good news EXCLUDES NO ONE on the basis of what they do, have done, or will do in the flesh!

No one is excluded from coming to Christ for the sins they have committed. At the same time no one who puts their faith in Christ will continue in a lifestyle of sin (1 John 3:9). The term repentance means a "change of mind." A person who turns TO Christ in faith necessarily turns away from the Old Ego-Centric life. This constitutes a kind of death and people are resistant to it, because it is not a matter of mental belief. It involves a change of the will and mind.

Paul and Peter preached repentance along with the need to have faith in Christ.

17 Now from Miletus he sent to Ephesus and called the elders of the church to come to him. 18 And when they came to him, he said to them:...20 how I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, and teaching you in public and from house to house, 21 testifying both to Jews and to Greeks of repentance toward God and of faith in our Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 20:17-21)

This echos the elementary principles of the Faith listed in Hebrews 6:1 where repentance from dead works (turning away) is followed by faith towards God (turning towards). People do not give up readily. That is why it many times takes a crisis before they will trust in Christ. It does not have to be that way but because we humans have pride we often make it that way.

If you are saying God has finished His work and need do no more to affect redemption then I agree but as sin is what man loves more than serving God it remains an issue.

Sin/sins is NOT THE ISSUE today! All of the work necessary to save anyone today was accomplished by God through the faith and finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ in the WORLD'S place; that includes ALL MEN (no matter who they are, where they've been or what they were doing while they were there)!

2 Corinthians 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

1 Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

If you at this moment are an unbeliever, the only thing stopping you from being saved is your unbelief because even though the righteousness of God (the standard for heaven) is available UNTO YOU by the faith of Jesus Christ, it is not UPON YOU until that moment in your life when you trust the Lord believing Christ died for your sins and that He was buried and rose again the third day (1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV). Trust the Lord for salvation and the righteousness of God will be imputed to you (Romans 3:21-22 KJV, Romans 4:23-25 KJV).

Now, THAT ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^is the "nicest thing you can say to a homo"!

Paul taught the same gospel that Jesus preached when he was on earth.

Matthew 15:24 states: "But he answered and said, I am not sent
but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel."

Christ isn't speaking to the Gentiles in Matthew through John. The
Gentiles aren't addressed until Paul comes along later. Paul was
given a "Special Message." by the Lord Jesus Christ. That Message
was, "The Grace Message" (Paul's Gospel)

Therefore, there was two separate Messages being preached during
that period of time.
1) The Kingdom Message was being preached to the Jews only.
2) The Grace Message was being preached to the Gentiles.

Today, The Grace Message (Paul's Gospel) is being preached to both,
Jew and Gentile alike. It's a Message of God's Grace being bestowed
upon those who will place their faith in Christ as their Savior.

Romans 10:17 states: "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing
by the word of God." Today, one must HEAR the Message, place their
faith in Christ as their Savior, be cleansed,(1 Corinthians 6:11) and
sealed (Ephesians 1:13) and baptized (not by water) (1 Corinthians
12:13) into the Body of Christ by the Holy Spirit.

This is the Grace Message. (Paul's Gospel)

Romans 2:16 states: "In the day when God shall judge the secrets of
men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel."

Were you or were you not, reconciled to God by the death of His Son?
She'll just say yes.

Need to ask her how many times she has been reconciled to God by the death of His Son? And how many more times in her lifetime will it need to happen.

It may well be "nice", but it will probably be too nice to get the result one might hope for. Unfortunately, a homosexual doesn't see himself as a sinner. He's blocked the very idea from his thoughts. How can they believe unless they hear? Hear what? That Christ died for your sins?

"What sins? I'm not a sinner. If you mean my sexual preference, I was born that way, so God (if there is a God) already approves of me."

Those scriptures mean we do not have to get circumcised; they DO NOT MEAN WE DO do not have to obey!

Romans 5

6 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

Of course, Jesus needed to die for our sins. How do you think you will have forgiveness without the shedding of blood?
