sin/sins is not the issue today!

I first heard the "Grace Message" in 1962. And, have grown in my faith
over the years. Christianity is a lifetime commitment. Not just a short
prayer and that's it. A commitment to Pray, Read and study the Bible,
to seek God's will in your life, To be a witness in the world and share
what you know about God's Grace to those who ask you, etc.

Pray all you want, and read all you want, but nothing will happen until you do what Jesus says.

What was the purpose of the ceremonies, such as the scape goat?

The ceremonies were a shadow of what was coming. They were teaching tools.

However, God did not like it that the Jews could sin, give a sin offering to the priest, and not really be sorry for their sins. The ceremonial works were not based on faith.

Sin/sins is NOT THE ISSUE today! All of the work necessary to save anyone today was accomplished by God through the faith and finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ in the WORLD'S place; that includes ALL MEN (no matter who they are, where they've been or what they were doing while they were there)!

2 Corinthians 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

1 Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

If you at this moment are an unbeliever, the only thing stopping you from being saved is your unbelief because even though the righteousness of God (the standard for heaven) is available UNTO YOU by the faith of Jesus Christ, it is not UPON YOU until that moment in your life when you trust the Lord believing Christ died for your sins and that He was buried and rose again the third day (1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV). Trust the Lord for salvation and the righteousness of God will be imputed to you (Romans 3:21-22 KJV, Romans 4:23-25 KJV).

Now, THAT ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^is the "nicest thing you can say to a homo"!

19"This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. 20"For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.…(John 3:19)

Christ has done the work necessary to reconcile all men to him. According to Jesus what prevents men from coming is that they love living apart from God. They love the practice of sin and refuse to see it but in the light is life. You cannot have eternal life without coming to light and as long as you have animosity to the truth you will not come.

7 because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, 8 and those who are in the flesh cannot please God (Romans 8:7)

The mind of fallen men is not neutral towards God. It only seems that way until the Holy Spirit challenges the Self for Supremacy and calls it to relinquish its sovereignty and entrust itself to Someone Else. Once that happens you will see the hostility break loose.

You seem to be attempting to make the gospel more appealing by making it easier, This is exactly what many ear ticklers do but it is not easy for fallen man to trust in Christ. Lets put it this way, it is simple, and the Spirit is there to assist us but even the very first step to enter requires a measure of death (to self effort and self righteousness) which is why most will not choose to enter.

13 “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. 14 For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.
Matthew 7:13-14

God does not want works. He wants the whole self. Men want to be god of their own life. You almost seem to be presenting to homosexuals a salvation that will allow them to continue practicing that particular lifestyle. If that is what you mean it is false advertising as much as it would be if we were to make the same offer to heterosexual fornicators, pedophiles, murderers or people who are idolators.

Jesus would die for our sins and take them far from us. That does not mean we can keep sinning without being sorry, and without overcoming them.

If you can over come the sins as you say, then he didn't need to die for them.

Moving past your 2nd grade logic, here is the truth about sin and reconciliation.

Romans 5

6 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

Of course, Jesus needed to die for our sins. How do you think you will have forgiveness without the shedding of blood?

Those scriptures mean we do not have to get circumcised; they DO NOT MEAN WE DO do not have to obey!

There waits no judgment for those who OBEY JESUS.

There will be plenty judgement for those who lie through their teeth, claiming they are obedient...they will be judged in this time by the brethren [which is what is happening to you] and they will be judged as false prophets by Christ.

There is no need to have qualms about this...you and meshak are liars......

You are a false accuser like Satan. You do what your father does.

Not only are you liars but you are manifest liars, because nobody was ever obedient enough to Moses to be saved, God declares it impossible.

But Christ's words , if treated as commands to be obeyed are much more impossible.

Everybody on TOL knows you to be liars.

It is not bad news to obey Jesus' beautiful powerful words.

Romans 5:17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

Romans 5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

Romans 5:19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

And that is even before Paul testified the gospel of the grace of God (Acts 20:24 KJV) to people like you and me! But now, we are included!

1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

1 Timothy 2:6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Of course, there are people who obeyed the old law. What is wrong with you?

Genesis 32:28 Then the man said, "Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome."

There were righteous people who obeyed God before Jesus came, and after Jesus.

Luke 1:6 Both of them were righteous in the sight of God, observing all the Lord's commands and decrees blamelessly.

Genesis 6:8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD.

Luke 2:25 Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was on him.

John 1:47 When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said of him, "Here truly is an Israelite in whom there is no deceit."

Job 1:1, 8 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God...

1 Kings 9:4 And if you will walk before me, as David your father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness...

1 Kings 15:5 For David had done what was right in the eyes of the LORD and had not failed to keep any of the LORD's commands all the days of his life--except in the case of Uriah the Hittite.

Genesis 17:1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to him and said, "I am God Almighty; walk before me faithfully and be blameless.

Luke 1:30 But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God.

Hebrews 11:5 By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: "He could not be found, because God had taken him away." For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God.

Luke 2:37 and then was a widow until she was eighty-four. She never left the temple but worshiped night and day, fasting and praying.

Luke 8:15 “… these are the ones who have heard the word in an honest and good heart, and hold it fast, and bear fruit with perseverance.”

Matthew 12:35 A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him.

Luke 8:15 But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.

The point of the OP is that sin/sins is not the issue today

2 Corinthians 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Reconciliation was made! The problem that separated us from God was solved by Jesus Christ! Salvation is available to all men as the one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, gave Himself a RANSOM FOR ALL to be testified in due time! The good news EXCLUDES NO ONE on the basis of what they do, have done, or will do in the flesh!

Even based on this OP, sin is the issue. The title is confusing at best and wrong at worst.

Nice non answer you heathen pig. They foretold the death, resurrection, and forgiveness of sins by it. They had to be shown it and shown they could not actually keep the law. The law, You shall not covet ,proves you are dead.
