Salvation: A Free Gift From God, or an Imposition?

There is no scripture anywhere in the Bible that teaches God imposes salvation on people. But there are numerous scriptures that teach that salvation is a gift from God that has been provided by his Son Jesus Christ. Here are some of them.

"But not as the offense so also is THE FREE GIFT" Romans 5:15.

"And not as if it was by one that sinned, so is THE GIFT" Romans 5:16.

"Much more they which receive abundance of grace and THE GIFT of righteousness shall reign in life by one Jesus Christ" Romans 5:17.

"Even so by the righteousness of one THE FREE GIFT came upon ALL MEN unto justification of life" Romans 5:18.

"For by grace are you saved through faith; and not that of yourselves: it is THE GIFT of God" Ephesians 2:8.

"But THE GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" Romans 6:23.

When the Bible speaks of salvation as a gift from God, it also means that the gift of salvation must be received. The Gift of salvation is not imposed, otherwise it is no longer a gift it is an imposition. Salvation is offered to everyone as a free gift from God, but it belongs to no one until it is received.

"But as many as RECEIVED HIM to them gave he the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe upon his name" John 1:12.

We receive Christ as our savior by believing in him, John 3:16. We believe that he is able to save us to the uttermost, Hebrews 7:25. We that are saved are resting in the work and the person of Jesus Christ, Hebrews 4:10 and have no confidence in the flesh (religion) Philippians 3:3. As the song goes... "On Christ the solid rock I stand; all other ground is sinking sand" The sinking sand is religion.

Truster has the false Reformed paradigm where no Christian should ever struggle or have a weak faith. If he were honest he would admit there are things he struggles with. Just an arrogant and proud rock that God will humble in his own time and his own way.

Salvation is a free gift by the grace of God. I can do nothing to earn it. That was the Pharisees problem.

You cannot earn it but your sincere faith in Jesus will be granted into the Kingdom.

If we are seeking to be true to Jesus, we will strive to be follow Jesus' teachings.

God is seeking our truthful heart.

Lip service will not make it.

We cannot mock God.

Right, The proud religious cannot just accept free gift of salvation. The want to do something to earn it. They want to do it their way, which is not God's way.

You erroneously believe in salvation by works a person does to obtain salvation: Just believe and receive :nono:.

But according to the scriptures, Salvation was never an offer for a person to accept or reject, for that's nothing but an evil invention in the carnal mind of man, and is in direct opposition to scriptures Eph. 2:8-9!

So the Truth is, Salvation was provided exclusively for all the Chosen Sons of God, His Election of Grace Eph. 1:4-11; before the world began 2 Tim. 1:8-9 which were Saved in their Surety Christ Jesus Heb. 7:22 in the Everlasting Covenant of Grace, Sanctified by God and preserved in Christ Jesus Jude 1:1 from Everlasting!

But you don't know who the elect are!! So the gospel is an invitation to all the world to come to Christ and be saved. The elect believe and the non-elect wallow in their unbelief and worship false profits like Calvin.

The preaching of the Gospel is not an invitation to all the world of mankind to come to Christ and be saved. That's an outright lie!

But preaching the Gospel is a Word of Salvation exclusively to the Spiritual Seed of Abraham, the Seed of Christ Eph. 1:4; Gal 3:16, 29, those whom God has made Spiritually Alive in New Birth Rom. 8:15 who fear Him Acts 13:26, which no man by nature can do Rom. 3:11, 18.

So unless a person is Born of God, he can't hear the Gospel which is God's Words:

John 8:47
He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

How can a person believe in what he is prevented from hearing John 12:40?

So the preaching of the Gospel has a twofold purpose 2 Cor. 2:14-16: To the Elect God has Saved, it is a savour of life unto life, but to the Lost John 3:18, 36 the Gospel is a savour of death unto death, it just adds more condemnation upon them.

1 Cor. 1:18
For the preaching of the cross [Gospel] is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

You're not a Christian in any sense of the word. Calvinism is the most twisted and evil religion because it blends truth with just enough error to be palatable. The best lies are 95% truth with 5% error. The 95% of truth makes you look like a Christian to others but you have no love for your fellow man and no faith in Christ.

The fact remains.

Salvation is a free gift from God. This is what the Bible teaches. If Salvation is a free gift from God then it must be received. To not receive it is to reject it. To reject it is to damn yourself to hell.

No man is capable of accepting or rejecting anything to affect his own salvation Eph. 2:8-9; Titus 3:5.

Eternal God has already predetermined His Sheep John 10:11,15 to Eternal Life, and the goats Mat. 25:41 to everlasting fire.

It's a done deal! Rom. 9:22-23

Dan. 4:35
And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?

Job 23:13-14
13 But he is in one mind, and who can turn him? and what his soul desireth, even that he doeth. 14 For he performeth the thing that is appointed for me: and many such things are with him.

It is very apparent that you don't have saving faith. The God that you believe in does not exist.

Pate, you have no idea what saving Faith is, and I have no reason to believe that you shall ever experience it!

The GOD that I believe in, [Yes, He exists!] is the Author of the scriptures 2 Tim. 3:16 I posted which you are prevented from "hearing" because you have not been born of God John 8:43, 47!

IOW you are lost 2 Cor. 4:3-4!
