Well thanks for that lil FYI about MAD, I was wondering what that meant, but too afraid to ask.

MAD is not a word, but an acronym for people that follow Paul, who was called Mid Acts, and was given a Dispensation of grace for us.

Are you going to try and say you keep Matthew 23? Just wondering.

I don't think any one label would fit me well.

I'm sure Nick could come up with a few though (not that im asking)

Viet Cong comes to mind. Even though your hero Che was on the other side of the world, he did the same thing. Murder by numbers.

But you can't make someone commit just by putting them on a list, either. Is that what you're trying to do? I guess I haven't put a lot of thought into your motivation, so maybe this is a good time to ask.

contrary to what you suspect
my motivation is to improve understanding
wouldn't you like to know?

'where they are coming from'

I'm beginning to think he's incapable of asking an honest question. It's almost always a set up for a sneer or accusation.

so what are you afraid of?

a revelation of an inconsistency?

don't be afraid
go ahead and answer the question
see where it leads us

I think that beyond "not being impressed" with those who do not commit, I think in ways you're unable to understand it. Do you think that at all?

sure I started with the letter of the law
but
have spent a lot of time looking for the spirit of the law

I now wonder
if
it is even possible to get to the spirit of the law without starting with the letter of the law

You might be misunderstanding me. By "I think in ways you're unable to understand it," I didn't just mean that you don't understand it, I mean actually unable to. That the train in your brain just doesn't stop at that station. Do you ever think that? I don't mean it as a put down.

of course I do not understand you
I could never understand not having a frame of reference
where do you begin?
of course you don't know
but why?
you don't want to know
that is where you start
you have to want it

Well, that's one way of looking at it.

No group. After I was redeemed, I picked a little bit of information here and a little bit there. Right now the Internet is my Church and I really do not care what 'titles' people place over themselves.

Catholic, Protestant, Evangelical, Pentecostal, etc., means absolutely nothing to me. Those are man-made titles and I disregard all of them. I look for "Jesus Christ and what He did at the Cross of Calvary" exclusively for salvation, justification, sanctification, and for everything else needed.

I find it amazing that so many have this need to associate by denominational belief instead of taking into regard what people say they believe as in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which is the true denomination and doctrine.

I have said that I believe that there is a reason for the divisions within the body of Christ such as differing denominations and the only reason I can think of that someone would not accept someone telling them that they follow the one true denomination and doctrine of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is because they feel their denomination and doctrine must be closer to the truth than the Gospel itself. This need to attack or embrace leaving nothing inbetween to be regarded.

Within the continuum of Gods will all believers reside, some are simply closer to the center of it than others.

If my spiritual conviction is not to subscribe to a doctrine that I feel is not consistent with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, why then would that be so offensive to another believer? The sad fact is that I feel that most denominational doctrines fall short of the truth in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and that I've had more spiritual success with prayer and seeking via the Holy Spirit than I've ever had with regard to associating myself and subscribing to something I don't agree with.

We should all be at peace with one another understanding that there is a reason for this division, that it will inevitably work through tribulation which brings patience and perseverance in all things and people who love the Lord.

Live ones own conviction, do not judge, discern the spirits of individuals and trust the Lord will lead you in the right direction. Never toss the baby out with the bathwater and know that truth is scattered in many places and those who seek the Lord with a sincere burning desire to know His truth...will indeed find it.

I think that's an odd thing to say, Matthew 23 has no instructions to keep its a rebuke to teachers of law, who major is self righteousness.

Matthew 23

1Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes and to His disciples, 2 saying: “The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. 3 Therefore whatever they tell you to observe, that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do.

Not only is it an instruction it is detailed instruction to do as they say, not as they do, as they are hypocrites like you.

'where they are coming from'

Are you quoting me on the 'where they are coming from?' because I don't remember saying it here although it does sound like something I'd say.

Anyway, I didn't have any particular suspicion, just wondering what was motivating you and pointing out the difference between people saying 'where they are coming from' and you telling them where you want to put them.

And I do think after reading through thus far that you've taken on a Sisyphean task....

correct me
if
you think I am wrong
but
things like open view, osas, evolution, etc are just fringe views like reincarnation that really should not classify people

Is this all a big joke or are you actually serious about this? I envy your free time sir.

This all brings to mind the subject of fema camps being set up while the brown shirts and UN work tirelessly to track all of those who will fall under the criteria of "non conformants". It's probably already happening in your neck of the woods.

Run Chrysostom run!

*Knock-knock on Chrysostom's door*
Chrysostom opens door only to find UN and brownshirts asking..."is your name Chrysostom?"

Chrysostom: Why no...that's no my name at all.

Brown shirt: Do you believe in God and country and reject the New World Order?

Chrysostom: Just one minute please sir while I get my hearing aid.

Chrysostom runs out of back door with his TOL list of non conformants...the end.

It don't quite work like that among proddies, Most Pentecostalists eschew Freegrace doctrines [unfortunately in my view] not many are Millennialists. So I line up as much with the Reformed bunch on the one hand and many doctrines which the MADianites believe on the other.

This is something Chrys has always wanted to do....if you are a fan you see it as a worthy project and fun...if you are not pro Chrys you will see it as spooky....

It's not spooky.
