Redpill, so how about it? Can someone have salvation, lose it, then get it back again? I know why you won't answer this question...whether you answer yes or no, the result is not good for you.
I also believe you've been here before.
hey i am new to this posting format and i am still figuring out how to find if a person is directly addressing you in a comment.(you might help me if you know... do we have any notifications about replies in the thread)
Now salvation is getting forgiveness for our past sins and accepting jesus as our saviour repenting and setting right our sins committed later and then enter eternal life (2 peter 1:10)It says one cannot enter with sin.
********************past sins***************************************
Ephesians 2:1-6
And although
you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 2 in which
you formerly lived according to this world’s present path, according to the ruler of the kingdom of the air,
the ruler of the spirit that is now energizing the sons of disobedience, 3 among
whom all of us also formerly lived out our lives in the cravings of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath even as the rest…
4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of his great love with which he loved us, 5
even though we were dead in transgressions, made us alive together with Christ—by g
race you are saved!— 6 and he raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,
colossians3:1-6
Therefore,
if you have been raised with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Keep thinking about things above, not things on the earth, 3 for you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ (who is your life) appears, then you too will be revealed in glory with him. 5
So put to death whatever in your nature belongs to the earth: sexual immorality, impurity, shameful passion, evil desire, and greed which is idolatry. 6
Because of these things the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience. 7
You also lived your lives in this way at one time, when you used to live among them. 8 But now, put off all such things as anger, rage, malice, slander, abusive language from your mouth.
Romans 3:25 25 God publicly displayed him at his death as the mercy seat accessible through faith.
This was to demonstrate his righteousness, because God in his forbearance had passed over the sins previously committed.
2 Peter 1:9
9 But concerning the one who lacks such things—he is blind. That is to say, he is nearsighted, since
he has forgotten about the cleansing of his past sins.
**********After accepting God expects us to obey his commandments.************************
1 John 2:3-4New English Translation (NET Bible)
Keeping God’s Commandments
3
Now by this we know that we have come to know God: if we keep his commandments. 4
The one who says “I have come to know God” and yet does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in such a person.
“Why do you call Me 'Lord, Lord,' and
do not do the things which I say?” (Luke 6:46).
- Jn 14:15
If ye love Me, keep my commandments.
- Jn 14:21 He that hath My commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves Me: and he that loves Me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest Myself to him.
- Jn 14:24 He that loves me not keeps not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not Mine, but the Father's which sent Me.
- Jn 16:27 For the Father Himself loves you, because ye have loved Me, and have believed that I came out from God.
- Jn 15:9-10 As the Father hath loved Me, so have I loved you:
continue ye in My love.
If ye keep My commandments, ye shall abide in My love; even as I have kept My Father's commandments, and abide in His love.
- Jn 13:34/15:12/17 A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. – speaking to the saved.
- Jn 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
1 John 5:3
In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome.
Revelation 14:11-12New English Translation (NET Bible)
And the smoke from their torture will go up forever and ever, and those who worship the beast and his image will have no rest day or night, along with anyone who receives the mark of his name.
12 This requires the steadfast endurance of the saints—
those who obey God’s commandments and hold to their faith in Jesus.
Hebrews 5:9.:
"And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;"
Acts 10:35 -
To be acceptable to Him,
one must fear Him (respect authority) and
work righteousness (obey authority).
1 Corinthians 7:19: Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing,
but what matters is the keeping of the commandments of God
James 1:21-25New English Translation (NET Bible)
21 So
put away all filth and evil excess and humbly welcome the message implanted within you, which is able to save your souls. 22
But be sure you live out the message and do not merely listen to it and so deceive yourselves. 23
For if someone merely listens to the message and does not live it out, he is like someone who gazes at his own face in a mirror. 24 For he gazes at himself and then goes out and immediately forgets what sort of person he was. 25 But the one who peers into the perfect law of liberty and fixes his attention there, and does not become a forgetful listener but one who lives it out—he will be blessed in what he does.
*****Now what if we still do the things after we accept christ and got forgiveness from our past sins ********* .
1 john 1:5-6 Now
this is the gospel message we
have heard from him and announce to you:
God is light, and in him there is no darkness at all. 6
If we say we have fellowship with him and yet keep on walking in the darkness, we are lying and not practicing the truth. 7
But if we walk in the light as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say we do not bear the guilt of sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9
But if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous, forgiving us our sins and cleansing us from all unrighteousness.
2 Peter 1:4-11
4 Through these things he has bestowed on us his precious and most magnificent promises, so that by means of what was promised you may become partakers of the divine nature,
after escaping the worldly corruption that is produced by evil desire. 5 F
or this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith excellence, to excellence, knowledge; 6 to knowledge, self-control; to self-control, perseverance; to perseverance, godliness; 7 to godliness, brotherly affection; to brotherly affection, unselfish love. 8
For if these things are really yours and are continually increasing, they will keep you from becoming ineffective and unproductive in your pursuit of knowing our Lord Jesus Christ more intimately. 9 But concerning the one who lacks such things—he is blind. That is to say, he is nearsighted,
since he has forgotten about the cleansing of his past sins. 10
Therefore, brothers and sisters, make every effort to be sure of your calling and election. For by doing this you will never stumble into sin. 11 For "THUS" an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be richly provided for you.
***********revelation 2,3 will give you a clear understanding of how lost people can come back. But i dont know how long God will wait or how many times will God ask us to repent. THATS FOR GOD TO DECIDE*************

Rev 2:21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
Rev 2:24 But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira,

Rev 2:26
And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

Rev 3:2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for
I have not found thy works perfect before God.

but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Rev 3:11 Behold, I come quickly:
hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
Rev 3:12
Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans:

So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spit thee out of my mouth.
Rev 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten:
be zealous therefore, and repent.
Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Rev 3:21
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
before saying that this is not for us
Rev 3:22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
but deliberate sinning leads to this
Hebrews 10:26-27New English Translation (NET Bible)
26 For if we deliberately keep on sinning after receiving the knowledge of the truth, no further sacrifice for sins is left for us, 27 but only a certain fearful expectation of judgment and a fury of fire that will consume God’s enemies.
i answered this with my understanding of "LOST" is it the same as you interpret or is it something else.
