The penalty for those found guilty?
A public whipping and an enforced 12.5 hour duration of 'America's Got Talent' or the...'equivalent'.
Any naysayers?
Christians should not get marriage licenses... like the Quakers.

Christians should not get marriage licenses... like the Quakers.
In other words all Christians should follow the Quaker religion, or just the part you like?
I would think that ALL CHRISTIANS should take issue with a secular government trying to regulate what they feel is a religious institution.
Don't like the governments definition of marriage... then don't 'sign up' just for monetary reasons..
One of the UK's oldest Christian denominations - the Quakers - looks set to extend marriage services to same-sex couples at their yearly meeting later.
The church has already held religious blessings for same-sex couples who have had a civil partnership ceremony.

So much for your supposed "Christians" taking God's institution of marriage seriously.
Well.. that begs another question that was not the topic.
The question is whether the breeding program for the Jews is still in place for Christians today! What is our mandate today and how are we to act as Christians toward our brothers?
Per Holy Scripture (both in the Old and New Testaments), government is mandated to play a righteous role in society. Marriage (and the family that follows) is the nucleus of society. Government has the responsiblity to make certain that safeguards are put in place to honor marriage and not make it easy to walk away from it should the going get tough.
Christians are blessed by a pastor at their church wedding, but that doesn't mean that the certificate issued by a righteous government acknowledging that marriage isn't important.
I totally disagree with everything you said....
none of it is supported by scripture and is nothing more than your own imaginings
Especially considering, marriage in the old testament was polygamous and very easy to get out of. God never put such responsibility on the government of Israel... and now you say he has magically put it on every government on earth.
Bizarre.
Left-wingers like yourself usually do.
The righteous role of civil government and the importance of the traditional family can be found throughout Holy Scripture (I suppose in order to find it, you'd first have to pick up a Bible and read it).
There was a reason that God allowed such marriages back in biblical times (early death of males due to war, etc. making it hard for women to find a man to marry).
That being said: Jesus renounced Jewish ceremonial laws, but not the importance of marriage.
You are aware why the US government got involved in the marriage licensing business to begin with?
Polygamous marriages in the Mormon Church.

You are aware that under your marriage 'guidelines', polygamy would once again be allowed in society?
When did your definition of 'traditional marriage' come into existence?
Genesis 2:18-25
So only husband and wife... no children...
Go figure.
I keep forgetting that you're not at all familiar with Holy Scripture.
Ask someone what "be fruitful and multiply" means.
That was after the fall and after they were cursed!
Your problem, like most self appointed experts.. is you seem to be chronologically impaired when it comes to reading scripture.
We've seen what has happened to society when civil government doesn't rule righteously. No-fault divorce, decriminalizing cohabitation laws, homosexuality, abortion, pornography and now recreational drug use.
We're one totally messed up nation.
God's wisdom includes civil government playing a righteous role; defining the boundaries of marriage is included in that role.
You are confusing governments roles for the role of the families.
If you recall, most of the Old Testament was written under tribal rule with no real government to speak of... tribes warred against each other all the time and it was pretty much survival of the fittest.
Maybe our real problem is that we let the weakest people, that would not have survived in the past, run our countries now?
Without a righteous government's involvement (as we're seeing today) the family can be defined anyway way people want it to be defined (unmarried couples with children, homosexuals that have 'married' and/or adopted children, polygamous marriages, etc.)
Which has absolutely nothing to do with God's universal definition of marriage and the righteous role of civil government (Romans 13:4).
The morally weak seem to elect those that think like themselves.
God specifically removed religion from the civil law of Israel... why did he disagree with you?
Yet He kept His universal moral laws for all of mankind to follow.
Who would enforce laws against incest, homosexuality, abortion, pornography, cohabitation, etc. etc. etc. if it weren't for a righteous civil government (which must be accompanied by righteous cultural mores')?
People... Government is irrelevant.
Just as it is written the New Testament.. we are to tolerate the secular government, not embrace or depend on it.
It seems that you expect someone else to do your job for you!
