You're mis-interpreting alot..........
I know this was to Caino, but I'd like to add:
As noted, you're misinterpreting a lot. Turning to 'God' is a 'conversion' of sorts, so your statement above does not hold. Again, if you read the papers to know what they teach in its totality about God and his relationship to mortals, you'd know these things, instead of presupposing stuff.
More assumptions. While Jesus DID say the 'kingdom of heaven' is inside of you, this doesn't make the kingdom-experience strictly limited to an eastern concept of 'mysticism', - in fact the UB generally discounts mystical experience, inner voices/visions and the like for a more practical spiritually intelligent relationship with God, which focuses on DOING HIS WILL. This is the central theme Jesus preaches, that each of are to attain perfection, by striving to be "perfect as our Heavenly Father is perfect",....this 'perfection' is one of love, inner integrity and service to God and others (since all are extensions of God).
Still presuming things, making blanket-judgments, lumping this with that, on presumption.
More presupposition.
This is a gross misrepresentation if I've ever seen one. Wow. Real God is actually beyond any 'conception' whatsoever,...but we use words and concepts to describe Deity. On that note,...how do you know that your 'idea' or 'image' of 'God' is not JUST a 'concept'? The 'God' presented in the papers is more than just a concept of course, but his character as a loving Father is the first foremost concept of us describing him 'relationally' to us. Truth does demand that one change in accord to its principles, its eternal laws. The UB demands a most courageous and loyal faith!
Way off here, all over the place. Miss.
Quoting the God of the Jews here, does not apply really, but if you want to apply this as a universal standard of 'idolatry',....any concept or image of 'God' can serve as a false or erroneous 'idol'. Any theological concept can be included here, - any image or caricature of God hailed as 'true' or worshipped unduly and unnecessarily, can be an IDOL. Before pointing fingers or assuming another of false theology, we might wanna look in our own closet of skeletons, and see if our own 'religion' might need some renovation or polishing up. Courage includes facing the possibility that all your concepts of God could be wrong, and you'd be ready to DROP any that are erroneous, for a truer revelation.

You. Yourself said it was incompatible with Christianity and the New Testament. You are pretty close to Baha'i faith in doctrine and could mix rather well with them. The problem with both is that Christianity is exclusive, as you've admitted to, which is what I said: A pick and choose theology. As far at the drug example, I was only using the reasoning that certain druggy rockers would use in liking the Urantia, not aimed at you in particular. The Ub doesn't require a conversion.

It is what you already are and 'makes you feel good' about the 'god already inside you.' It is Eastern religion, philosophy, and mysticism. There is no wonder that Paul J has spent time with India guru's, this is more of the same.

These are all 'find the truth within' cults and man-made religions because it appeals to man, as you just now attested to as well.
Still presuming things, making blanket-judgments, lumping this with that, on presumption.
"You don't like" the God of the Bible so prefer the kinder gentler religion that wouldn't hurt a fly.
More presupposition.
God for you is a concept and you, so you don't have to change a wit to be Urantian. It is a pleasant journey into 'me, be myself, and god is me.'

There you go, your true colors. You ▲are against Him/don't like Him ▲ and especially because you have no control over Him and what He might do, let alone that He can move and think and do, without your input at all. Your faith is in 'you.' The U-rantia is all "U." It allows you to accept and do nothing but feel-good. Rather than finding a god on his terms, you found one on yours.
You are your own god.

Deuteronomy 9:8You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth. 9You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, and on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me, 10but showing lovingkindness to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
