The writer is not saying those things are no longer necessary, he’s upset with them, because by this time they should have matured past all basics. Look at the end of the previous chapter:
5:11 About this we have much to say, and it is hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing. 12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food,
That’s why he says 6:1 not laying again but let us go on.

I believe it was to confirm the word was from God. That’s why it says “God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles” Here it say confirming the word signs:

You belong to the denomination called the church of Christ.

That denomination is one like many others.

That denomination speaks against Jesus when it says you must be baptized according to their baptism or you are not saved.

We are not a denomination and I would never be in a denomination because we do not seek to divide Christ. We can put what ever name on our building we want but we choose to be a church of our Lord and Savior.

Receiving the Holy Spirit is NOT a baptism but the receiving of the same Spirit Jesus had in Him; the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Jesus was born with it. We, who are of Him were born again, received what Jesus possessed from His natural birth. He never had a need to be "born again". We do.

Jesus experienced (2) baptisms before beginning His ministry. Both were recorded by Luke 4:1-14 KJV and Matthew 3:13-17 KJV. (1) was a manifestation of the Holy Spirit, the "coming upon", symbolized by the descending upon Him.

Not at all. As I stated above, the laying of hands was for the conveyance of Spiritual gifts. Did not those disciples of John prophecy? If you rememeber, as I asked you, to re-read the account of the Peter at the house of Cornielus in Acts 9&10&11. Read and remember that water baptism followed their Holy Spirit baptism by Jesus Christ:

"And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning. . . . For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God." [Acts 10:46 (KJV)] "Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God? When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life." Acts 11:15-18 (KJV)

How did they die to sin? Paul tells us in the next verses.
