Andy is correct.
Within the nation of Israel, there was a remnant of spiritually elect and regenerated believers which were promised the heavenly Kingdom of Messiah. It was a mix and eventually the unfaithful were cast away by God.
Just as within the visible churches, exist unsaved tares along with the spiritual remnant of true believers. This is signified in the example if the Olive Tree.
No elect, found by faith in Christ, can be lost or removed from His Kingdom. Only counterfeits and hypocrites will be pruned on Judgment Day and will not inherit everlasting life.
"The earthly was ordained by God as a type, that pointed to the new and better promises which would be fulfilled in Christ."-PigPen Naggie
PigPen Naggie: In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.....
...means that the earthly was ordained as a type, that pointed to the new and better promises which would be fulfilled in Christ, as you cannot take it literally.
Isaiah 2:3 KJV
And
many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths:
for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
Micah 4:2 KJV
And
many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion,
and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
.....means that the earthly was ordained as a type, that pointed to the new and better promises which would be fulfilled in Christ, as you cannot take it literally, as "people...nations...Jerusalem" above, is fulfilled when church goers go to church, which is Jerusalem now, and "the law..the word," means our "the church" Statement of Faith(SOF), you see, well, uh, urr........
What else what you like to "prove," Ms PigPen Naggie?
Let me guess: Bah...Gag...You misinterpreted it........
