Yes. Idolatry is spiritual adultery. The scriptures speak of non-sexual idolatry and lust.

Clearly, Elo is trying to claim that desiring money is "adultery". This in his attempt to change the meaning of the words lust and adultery.
He does this because he has said many times in the past that being aroused by a woman (not his wife) is not in the least WRONG. Instead of just admitting he should not be aroused by another man's wife and should avoid such things, he started this thread in the hopes that others would fall for this nonsense.
It failed, and now he gets angry at those who can't be fooled...as he has obviously fooled his wife. So, I repost what he has written in another thread when this was discussed.

Yes, Elo, I know you're mad because I've responded to your silly claim, but you shouldn't have expected anyone to agree with this silly notion of yours. You need to stop making this claim because it's wrong.
The same with your claim about polygamy. Just because God allowed something because of the hardness of men's hearts, does not mean it's right or moral.

Those who think that it takes a sex drive to be an adulterer should consider the legalism of their position.
I think that there are some here so bent on slander they must twist the grammar of Matt 5:28 and impose the most immoral sexual obsessions in their interpretations onto what we mean, which is the unavoidable and beneficial appeal of the opposite sex.
By their standards they could be above adultery merely by castrating themselves.
Also, it's laughable that some think that the word "aroused" indicates something evil, when scientifically both men and women can be aroused when they are in fact unaware of their physical state.
