Which conclusion diminishes the possibility of intelligent life on earth.

Genesis 1:1

God created the heavens and the earth.
Let's pretend we find life on Mars. Genuine question, does that go against the Christian narrative? Why or why not?

they will never find mankind anywhere else on any planet and they will never find intelligent life, neither more primitive or more advanced - we are it

GOD IS GOING TO RE-ARRANGE THE SOLAR SYSTEM SOON.

Psalms 89:11 The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine:
as for the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them.

Psalms 104:2 Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:

Psalms 115:16 The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD’S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.

Proverbs 3:19 The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.

Isaiah 13:13 Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.

Isaiah 34:4 And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.

Isaiah 45:12 I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.

Isaiah 48:13 Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together.

Isaiah 51:6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.

Hebrews 12:26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.

So Mars has water? If Mark Whatney would have known this he may not have almost been killed messing aroud with hydrozine!

Nasty Stuff that N2H4/Hydrazine... I used to do hydrazine loads for second stage ACS systems as well as the Delta II second stage which was hypergolic but, in addition to fuel then you have the other lovely component N2O4/nitrogen tetroxide...crazy deadly stuff...both components. I quit doing SCAPE about a year or so ago, didn't pay enough extra to deal with the annual medical qualifications & risk your life going in suit, I left it to the young glory seekers...:chuckle:

Yeah, that was one plot point in the book I didn't really believe. Trying to separate the hydrogen from the hydrazine with basically an open flame in a pressurized habitiat has DEATH! written all over it! :rotfl:

I am talking in broad strokes, would it have any impact? I can't remember scripture talking about martians, after all. :p

I can't speak for others but I'm sure there are some planets out there that probably have some form of primative life. It wouldn't effect my Chrisitian views.

The stuff is crazy flammable & explosive if it contacts an oxidizer! I have not read the book yet but, having first hand experience with hypergolic fuels I would say it does not sound plausible.

I think he depressurized his habitat before his handling of the hydrazine. I'll have to go reread that section of the book again.

Even then it sounds like a dangerous proposition... Hydrazine coupled with oxidizer or a catalyzer will ignite or decompose rapidly even in a vacuum, that is why it is used for spacecraft fuel...but, I assume you know that.
