It's NOT the Attainment it's the Atonement

I would say about 95% of what a Christian believes is explicity stated in the Bible.
Proof, please.

In any case, that doesn't answer the question I asked:
"Where in the Bible does it say that everything that a Christian believes must be explicitly stated in the Bible?"

Chapter-and-verse, please.

The Bible is a complete and accurate witness to Jesus Christ and his Gospel.

All that we need to know to have faith is revealed in the scriptures.

Your problem and the problem with the Catholic church is that you don't believe it.

Jesus has victoriously reconciled us and the world unto God, 2 Corinthians 5:18, 19. And in doing so has made your Catholic religion worthless.

The Bible was never intended to answer all of our questions.
Thus, you admit that there in fact IS no text in the Bible which says that everything that a Christian believes must be explicitly stated in the Bible. Therefore, you can go ahead and stop demanding that TOL members show you "where such-and-such is in the Bible." Your own standard---as you here admit---is ITSELF unbiblical, and merely refutes itself. End of discussion.

Does your Catholic church have all of the answers?

There is nothing wrong with asking for biblical proof of a doctrine or statement. Especially if is a major doctrine or statement.

When it comes to the Gospel of Jesus Christ there is a major void in your Catholic doctrine, like there is nothing there.

If you're referring to doctrine, Christ's one historic Catholic Church has all of the ones revealed by God, yes, just as Jesus himself said it would.

Agreed, but the Protestant assumption that every doctrine is fully formed and explicitly described in the Bible is simply itself unbiblical.

If the opinions of your chosen recently-invented, man-made non-Catholic sect possessed any doctrinal authority whatsoever, that might actually mean something.

What do you do with scripture that says Jesus has reconciled US and the WORLD unto God? 2 Corinthians 5:18, 19.

If that is true what good is your Catholic church?

I've explained this to you on a dozen different threads. How is it, then, that you still can't seem to grasp the simple reality that the reconciliation ACCOMPLISHED by Christ on the cross must also be APPLIED to individual sinners by the Holy Spirit through the teaching and ministry of the Church (apostles/bishops, the Magisterium). That's why Jesus gave the apostles "the ministry of reconciliation." You apparently get the first part of this truth, but then completely ignore the second. This is a fundamental flaw in your (Brinsmead's) supposed "gospel."

If that is true what good is your Catholic Church?
See above. (Do you assume that Jesus Christ founded his one historic and authoritative Church for no reason?)

I can't find where it says that the reconciliation must be applied to indivdual sinners.

There are no conditions for Jesus reconciling us and the world unto God, 2 Corinthians 5:18,19. Nothing is applied, just your nonsense.

It is an unconditional act of God. Your Catholic church wants to add conditions so that it can become religion.

Jn. 1:12; Gal. 3:26-27, etc., etc., etc...

There are no conditions for Jesus reconciling us and the world unto God...
According to your statement, then, the entire world must now be saved, correct? Every individual human being on earth is a Christian, right?

Wow. Just what do you think the "ministry of reconciliation" is?

Why do you ignore Scripture that claims the Church is the pillar of all truth, and that Jesus left us with the Church (not a "book")?

What church? The one in Rome known as the "Great Whore Church"?

God left us a book, its called the Bible. It is a witness to Christ and his Gospel.

No, it means that salvation has been provided for all, so that now..."Whosoever that shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved" Romans 10:13.

Catholics and others holiness religions see little to no value in the death of Christ. Many believe that the crucifixon of Christ happened to inspire them to be better Christians. They do not believe that Jesus really did atone for the sins of the whole world, 1 John 2:2.
Robert, I am not a Catholic, nor do I support or endorse Catholic theology or doctrine. In fact, I think the Catholic practice of the mass is flat wrong.

That said, you are so far off base here you aren't even in the ballpark.

You either don't know what Catholics believe, which makes you ignorant, or you intentionally misrepresent Catholicism, which makes you a liar.

Either way.

Stop it!

You do this routinely with Calvinism and now you are pushing down your straw men of Catholicism.

Until you start making accurate representations of other's positions, no one who values credibility should listen to you.
