In the dispensation of the grace of God (that's the one that Paul claims that God gave to him), there is ONE baptism and there is NOT a drop of water in it.Whoa there lil fella.
That's not a later command not to baptize.
1. Paul is talking to them about when he first got there.
2. Paul is speaking only to the Corinthians.
3. When Paul first got there he was afraid, so Christ came to him in a dream and told him to preach, for he had much people there.
During this dream nowhere did Christ say don't baptize.
Looks like there were much people there to do the baptizing.
And when there wasn't, hey, guess what?
Paul did it.
Now I say again, where is the command not to baptize?
You cannot produce it in any shape or form.
If y'all could there wouldn't be any fights among yourselves as to when this supposed new gospel started.
Dispensationalism is a dead end street.
Water baptism is a cleansing ritual for Israel's priesthood of which the body of Christ has no part.
So if it makes you happy to get wet, go for it. I'm sticking with the ONE baptism by the Holy Spirit.
1Co 12:12-13 KJV For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. (13) For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
Eph 4:4-6 KJV There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; (5) One Lord, one faith, one baptism, (6) One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
I'm going to stick with God and Paul on this one.Eph 4:4-6 KJV There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; (5) One Lord, one faith, one baptism, (6) One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
