How the Gospel Interprets the Bible

God's Truth

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable...(2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJV). It means what it says,

That is about the OLD TESTAMENT.

Jesus came with the new.

as it says it and to whom it says it. It's all written FOR our learning (Romans 15:4 KJV), but it's not ALL written TO us or about us.

PAUL QUOTES the OLD TESTAMENT MANY TIMES to Gentiles.

Paul says Abraham is the Gentile's father.

That is right, he is our father by faith.

The form of sound words of Romans through Philemon (2 Timothy 1:13 KJV) is written directly TO the church, the Body of Christ (Ephesians 1:23 KJV, Ephesians 5:30 KJV, Colossians 1:24-29 KJV). That’s us. Anything outside of Romans through Philemon is to Israel past and future.

The Bible flows all together.

Jesus is the Lord of all.

His words are Spirit and life and they will never pass away.

We know what Peter preached: a murder indictment to all the house of Israel that they had murdered their Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ, but that God hath raised Him up!(Acts 2:22-36 KJV). Peter did NOT know or preach the gospel of OUR salvation;

how that "Christ died for our sins" as the power of God. He didn't even know it as that truth was a mystery. Paul tells us that it was and why (Romans 16:25-27 KJV, 1 Corinthians 2:6-8 KJV). Neither one of them had anything to do with a mystery gospel anymore than they had anything to do with us Gentiles! Paul is the apostle of the Gentiles (Romans 11:13 KJV, 1 Timothy 2:7 KJV, 2 Timothy 1:11 KJV) given the gospel by which we are saved (Galatians 1:11-12 KJV, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV)/the dispensation of the gospel (1 Corinthians 9:17 KJV) and the dispensation of the grace of God to us-ward ("you-ward" Ephesians 3:1-9 KJV). We are to follow Paul in doctrine (1 Corinthians 4:15-16 KJV, 1 Corinthians 11:1, 2 Timothy 2:2, 2 Timothy 2:7-8) not John or Peter (Galatians 2:7 KJV).

Peter was the one who was told by God to kill and eat; and then Peter gave the GOSPEL that SAVES to Cornelius and his whole household.

The very fact that Christ "died for our sins" was a mystery until given by revelation of Jesus Christ to and through Paul and Paul tells us why. There's no scriptural doubt about it. Why did you just ignore what saith the scripture concerning the gospel of YOUR salvation and it being mystery? You didn't hear that "Christ died for our sins" from John! You got it from Paul if you preach it at all. And FYE-John is an apostle TO Israel, not TO us. What John puts forth is written in a tribulation sense looking forward to the blotting out of sins, just as Peter would preach. Neither of them had anything to do with us or the good news of our salvation!

Listen to the GOSPEL that PETER spoke to the Gentile Cornelius and his whole household:

Acts 10:33 Now we are all here in the presence of God to listen to everything the Lord has commanded you to tell us.”
34 Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism 35 but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right. 36 You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, announcing the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all. 37 You know what has happened throughout the province of Judea, beginning in Galilee after the baptism that John preached— 38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.
39 “We are witnesses of everything he did in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They killed him by hanging him on a cross, 40 but God raised him from the dead on the third day and caused him to be seen.41 He was not seen by all the people, but by witnesses whom God had already chosen—by us who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead. 42 He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one whom God appointed as judge of the living and the dead. 43 All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.”
44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. 45 The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on Gentiles. 46 For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God.
Then Peter said, 47 “Surely no one can stand in the way of their being baptized with water. They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have.” 48 So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked Peter to stay with them for a few days.

That Gospel that Peter preached, he preached it before Paul preached.

Peter preached the one and only gospel that saves.

Peter knows that God isn't favoring Jews over Gentiles.

Peter says God ACCEPTS people from EVERY NATION who fear Him and does what is right.

The good news is peace through Jesus Christ who is LORD OVER ALL.

Peter brings up John's baptism of repentance.

He says how he was killed on a cross and how he has been raised and is the judge of the living and the dead.

Peter says everyone who believes receives forgiveness of sins.

Does anyone want to keep saying Paul preached another gospel?

Does anyone still want to say Peter didn't know the gospel that saves for everyone?

No, Judas hung himself. The only Gospel that the disciples preached before Pentecost was the Kingdom Gospel, which was the good news that the King had arrived.

They did not preach the Gospel that justifies the ungodly, Romans 4:5 and reconciles us and the world unto God, 2 Corinthians 5:18,19, until after Pentecost.

Are you kidding?

When Jesus walked the earth he preached to believe on him for forgiveness of sins. He told people to repent or perish.

You're right about 1 Cor. 15: 1-4.

For it is merely a referencw to all that Paul had actually preached when preaching the gospel of Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

1 Corinthians 15:2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

1 Corinthians 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

1 Corinthians 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

1 Corinthians 15:3...according to the scriptures.

1 Corinthians 15:4 ...according to the scriptures.
The gospel of Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV) was a mystery hidden in the scriptures/ the fact that Christ was dying for some men's sins (the “our” in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV) was a mystery hid in plain sight in the OT until revealed to and through the apostle Paul (Romans 16:25 KJV, 1 Corinthians 2:6-8 KJV, Galatians 1:11-12 KJV).

The fact that we should be fellowheirs and of the same Body with them (Ephesians 3:6 KJV) is a later revealed mystery, an inclusion of all men (1 Timothy 2:4-6 KJV) with the gospel of the grace of God (Acts 20:24 KJV the same good news that Christ died for our sins and that He was buried and rose again the third day) the likes of even Gentiles such as we (Ephesians 2:11-12 KJV) with the good news that when Christ died for sins, Christ died for ours too (2 Corinthians 5:19 KJV)! It cannot be said that it was "according to the scriptures" that Christ died for our sins as the salvation of Gentiles such as we (Ephesians 2:11-12 KJV) was unsearchable/hid in God (Ephesians 3:1-9 KJV).

The point was, the gospel of our salvation is declared by Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV!

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 is about the Gospel, but it is not the Gospel.

The Gospel can be found throughout the writings of Paul, Romans 5:12-21, 2 Corinthians 5:17-21. is just a sample. The Gospel is that work that Jesus did in our name and on our behalf for our justification.

I'll stick with my KJB and my apostle.

Of course gospel truth and doctrine consistent with the gospel Paul declared in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV is found in Romans through Philemon. Why would we expect anything else coming from Paul?

Even John the baptist said Jesus takes away the sins of the world.

Even the woman by the well knew that Jesus is the Savior of the WORLD.

You keep saying only Paul knew something and no one else is just wrong.

The mystery is Jesus Christ.

What a shocker! A denier of the truth that there is more than one gospel in the Bible siding with another one gospeler and not the evidence found in the KJB that shows multiple gospels. All gospels are good news, but they're not all the gospel of YOUR salvation.

The good news IS JESUS. Period.

Ignorance

I quoted scripture telling us WHAT the good news is.

Acts 5:42
Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah.

Acts 8:12
But when they believed Philip as he proclaimed the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

Acts 8:35
Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus.

Acts 10:36
You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, announcing the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.

Acts 11:20
Some of them, however, men from Cyprus and Cyrene, went to Antioch and began to speak to Greeks also, telling them the good news about the Lord Jesus.

Mark 1:1
