If the US military ever goes rogue and invades its own country, I'm sure I'll be able to fend them off with my trusty thirty-aught-six.

Well....It wouldn't be my first choice, but I wouldn't feel "unarmed" by any stretch of the imagination. :plain:

It's typical for pompous Europe to prematurely celebrate their gun control and throw it on other people. Lets see how it plays out over the next 50 years first before dictating that, unlike virtually every other time in history, it doesn't result in tyranny or trouble.

Never mind the next fifty years, there have been around 1.4 million gun deaths in America since 1968. That is more than all the American military deaths in all wars since 1775.

Difficult to know who you guys are at war with, yourselves or the rest of the world?

The single long one gets mounted on the gun....The two short ones are for sticking up your nose so that they stick out like walrus tusks...Japaneses are terrible scared of walruses.

how does that compare to other countries during the same period?

That is more than all the American military deaths in all wars since 1775.

how about comparing it to automobile fatalities?

deaths due to cancer?

deaths due to falls in the bathroom?

Nothing like having something that needs no scope but can reach out and touch somebody.

I don't know the scene or movie. I do recognize at least one insane person in that screen shot.

it's the first mission impossible - tom cruise carries a stick of "gum" that is a two part plastic explosive - fold the blue part over on the pink part, count to five and "boom"

Didn't watch it. I watched the 4th because of the trailer that showed Dubai.

Over half of those gun deaths are suicides, and the rate of suicide here is no different then most gun control countries.

And as well, many of these gun control countries still have a big problem with home invasion and muggings. Every person who dies is a person made to be a martyr, and those societies in general have basically opened up the doors for other controls and oppression.

You liberals are utterly irresponsible, trading freedom of arms for vain comfort and a faulty moral complex.
