What you say means nothing, for you are a staunch believer in Salvation by Works, even when Paul wrote this Eph 2:8-9
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
I am glad you repeat yourself, for there is more of the chance for others to read the truth when I reply.
In Ephesians 2, Paul is speaking to Gentiles they were the disobedient. Paul says all also lived among them at one time, S. 3.
The Jews had the works of the law to make themselves clean before God, but the Gentiles did not.
Read now Ephesians Scripture 11 (that is just two Scriptures away from the Scripture that you speak). Paul says, “Therefore, remember that formerly you who are Gentiles by birth and called “uncircumcised” by those who call themselves “the circumcision”…
Paul immediately starts speaking of the works of the Jews---circumcision.
The works that Paul speaks about that we are no longer saved, that is the works the Jews had to do themselves, the rules and regulations that separated Jews from Gentiles, that is, the works that the Jews had to do just to worship God, like circumcision, various external washings, various offerings from sins, and the observance of special days.
Those are the works that made the difference between Jews and Gentiles, for the Jews sinned just as much as the Gentiles did, but through those works, they had a relationship with God.
Now, those works save no one anymore. We still have to obey Jesus; for in believing and obeying Jesus, we are those Jesus will choose to live with.
We are saved only by the faith in Jesus blood; we no longer have to do any works like circumcision and various sin offerings. We DO have to be the people, in whom Jesus chooses to save; the Bible tells us what kind of people Jesus chooses to save. If you want to be saved, do what the Bible says, believe, and obey, see John 14:23; Acts 5:32; and, John 8:31.
