Then, you must conclude that Obama was a better strategist and manipulator; and God was on his side.Nixon's Watergate was minor compared to Obama's spygate.
I don't think God favors the more wicked among men. Then, you must conclude that Obama was a better strategist and manipulator; and God was on his side.
Glad you got your edits in before I responded. You wanted to make the point that no one said "impeachment" because no one had said "impeachment?" Alrighty then.
And trying to paint it as partisan to expect SC justices to recuse themselves from cases whenever their impartiality might reasonably be questioned - when federal law requires exactly that of federal judges - is not, nor should it be, partisan. All should expect this of all judges.
But AOC demands that Thomas resign or she'll impeach him!Glad you got your edits in before I responded.
If you want to cheerlead for the Democrats, go right ahead. I reserve my right to call bull skubalon when it's bull skubalon, and pointing out that nobody is talking impeachment is how I'm calling bull skubalon.
It's a non-story. Fake news. Impeachment would be a story, and real news.
Partisanship, rhetoric, electioneering, narrative, spin. Justice Thomas is not corrupt.
AOC is one of the Democratic cheerleaders who actually got elected. Republicans have MTG. Every once in a while a cheerleader gets elected. When we're approaching becoming a nation run by the cheerleaders I'll bat an eye.But AOC demands that Thomas resign or she'll impeach him!

On the one hand you have a brilliant experienced jurist. On the other hand you have a tik tok star with a brain the size of a turnip.

Granted on the first two but not the rest. So now can we play the same game with Democrats?Republicans have more than just the stupid/insane MTG. They also have the stupid/insane Madison Cawthorn, Lauren Boebert, Matt Gaetz, Paul Gosar, Lyin' Ted Cruz, Jim Jordan, etc...
Start with the squad and drunken NancyGranted on the first two but not the rest. So now can we play the same game with Democrats?
"Not the rest"? Let's start with Lauren Boebert, who is a high school dropout who promotes QAnon conspiracy theories, supports Trump's false claims that the 2020 election was stolen from him, voted to overturn its results during the Electoral College vote count, and supported the rioters who stormed the Capitol in protest of what they saw as election fraud. She's up for reelection in November and I'll be surprised if she wins.Granted on the first two but not the rest.
Be my guest. Expose them all, I say.So now can we play the same game with Democrats?
We could really use you in Catholicism."Not the rest"? Matt Gaetz is a 2020 election denier who has been accused of sex trafficking teenage girls and cocaine use. On December 19, 2017, Gaetz was the only representative to vote against the Combating Human Trafficking in Commercial Vehicles Act, a bill allocating additional government resources to help combat human trafficking. On February 27, 2018, Gaetz voted against the Allow States and Victims to Fight Online Sex Trafficking Act, which had by then been combined with the Stop Enabling Sex Traffickers Act. It passed, 388–25. On April 2, 2021, his communications director, Luke Ball, and his legislative director, Devin Murphy, resigned. On April 8, Representative Adam Kinzinger tweeted that Gaetz should resign.
Paul Gosar voted to overturn the results of the 2020 U.S. presidential election. On November 17, 2021, Gosar was censured by the House of Representatives and stripped of committee assignments. Hours after the January 6 storming of the Capitol, during which one police officer and four marchers eventually died, Gosar was the first member of Congress to advance the conspiracy theory that Antifa was to blame for the violence, echoed by Brooks and Representative Matt Gaetz. As a result of Gosar's alleged involvement in the storming of the Capitol, three of his siblings called for his expulsion from Congress. In September 2018, six of Gosar's nine siblings spoke out against their brother and endorsed his Democratic opponent, David Brill, in a series of television campaign ads that drew national and international coverage. Brother David Gosar, a lawyer, declared, "We've got to stand up for our good name. This is not who we are." In February 2022, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell criticized Gosar for participating in the America First Political Action Conference hosted by white nationalist and Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes, saying there was no place in the party for "white supremacists or anti-Semitism".
Trump named Ted Cruz "Lyin' Ted." If you don't believe that Cruz is a liar, then you do believe that Trump is a liar. So take your pick.
Jim Jordan supported lawsuits to invalidate the election results and voted not to certify the Electoral College results after Joe Biden won the 2020 presidential election and Trump refused to concede while making false claims of fraud. He has refused to cooperate with the United States House Select Committee on the January 6 Attack.
Be my guest. Expose them all, I say.
You're much too late with that. I'm already Catholic. We could really use you in Catholicism.

Why would Thomas's impartiality reasonably be questioned? Is his wife an autonomous being, or do you consider her to be subjugated under his authority, subject to his will?I'm also glad I replaced "neither" with "not" before you replied! What a ghastly situation we'd have been in otherwise!
Your drama nothwithstanding: It isn't partisan to expect SC justices to recuse themselves from cases whenever their impartiality might reasonably be questioned. Federal law requires exactly that of federal judges. The SC should be no different.
No doubt Nixon is looking up thinking “I am no longer the most evil and corrupt POTUS in history” …
Turnip is a little generous. Maybe an average radish. But AOC demands that Thomas resign or she'll impeach him!

There are three justices right now whose judicial philosophy is fundamentally in conflict with the founders' moral theory, utilitarian legal positivism. Their impartiality isn't just "questioned" it is positively gone. Their existence on the Court is repugnant to the Constitution.I'm also glad I replaced "neither" with "not" before you replied!
