Here are my last two posts in that thread illustrating why Donald Trump is unfit to be president, and why I will be voting for Hillary Clinton as the better, more qualified candidate.

Fifty GOP National Security Experts: 'None Of Us Will Vote For Donald Trump'

Fifty national security advisers and experts who served in Republican administrations from Richard Nixon to George W. Bush have come out with a new letter expressing dismay, concern and outright fear about Donald Trump's ability to lead the nation and keep the country safe.

In their open letter, national security operatives noted that "Mr. Trump has demonstrated repeatedly that he has little understanding of America's vital national interests, its complex diplomatic challenges, its indispensable alliances, and the Democratic values that on which U.S. foreign policy must be based."

Wow. This has to be unprecedented.

Here's an excerpt, rest is at the link

STATEMENT BY FORMER NATIONAL SECURITY OFFICIALS

Most fundamentally, Mr. Trump lacks the character, values, and experience to be President. He weakens U.S. moral authority as the leader of the free world. He appears to lack basic knowledge about and belief in the U.S. Constitution, U.S. laws, and U.S. institutions, including religious tolerance, freedom of the press, and an independentjudiciary.

In addition, Mr. Trump has demonstrated repeatedly that he has little understanding of America’s vital national interests, its complex diplomatic challenges, its indispensable alliances, and the democratic values on which U.S. foreign policy must be based. At the same time, he persistently compliments our adversaries and threatens our allies and friends. Unlike previous Presidents who had limited experience in foreign affairs, Mr. Trump has shown no interest in educatinghimself. He continues to display an alarming ignorance of basic facts of contemporary international politics. Despite his lack of knowledge, Mr.Trump claims that he understands foreign affairs and “knows more about ISIS than the generals do.”

Mr. Trump lacks the temperament to be President. In our experience, a President must be willing to listen to his advisers and department heads; must encourage consideration of conflicting views; and must acknowledge errors and learn from them. A President must be disciplined, control emotions, and act only after reflection and careful deliberation. A President must maintain cordial relationships with leaders of countries of different backgrounds and must have their respect and trust.

In our judgment, Mr. Trump has none of these critical qualities. He is unable or unwilling to separate truth from falsehood. He does not encourage conflicting views. He lacks self-control and acts impetuously. He cannot tolerate personal criticism. He has alarmed our closest allies with his erratic behavior. All of these are dangerous qualities in an individual who aspires to be President and Commander-in-Chief, with command of the U.S. nuclear arsenal.

AnnaBenghazi, the liar and baby-killer supporter, really thinks she has something here, but this is nothing new. These are the very establishment hacks who the GOP voters want OUT and why we voted for Trump. So this is not news, its not surprising, and its totally expected. No news here. Once again AnnaBenghazi demonstrates her ignorance.

Trump is so concerning that even fairly staunch and embedded allies such as Australia are starting to have an open debate whether we should break away if Trump is elected and does what he says he will.

Or, they're just afraid Trump is going to blow the lid off a lot of things that need to come out. If you care to look at the past two Secretaries of State

Yet many longtime members of the GOP/Washington establishment (Neutered Gingrich, Bob Dole, John McCain, etc. etc. etc.) continue to support Trump.

What's your response to that?

It's quite the algorithm Trump's die-hard supporters are following.
Every positive is a positive.
Every negative is a positive.

No matter what new bit of information comes along, it only "proves" how great he is.
Harsh criticism = "See? That just proves he's the anti-establishment president we need!"
Praise = "See? Even so-and-so likes Trump!"

One of these 50 is criticizing Trump's recent comments about Clinton and 2nd Amendment people.

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump suggested on Tuesday that gun rights activists could act to stop his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton from nominating liberal U.S. Supreme Court justices, igniting yet another firestorm of criticism just as he sought to steer clear of controversy.

"If she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do folks," Trump said at a rally. "Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know," he continued. The U.S. Constitution's Second Amendment guarantees a right to bear firearms.

Until Trump made the remark, he had been trying to rally Republican voters behind him and against Clinton, who is leading in national opinion polls in the race for the Nov. 8 election. Some in the audience who were seated behind Trump could be seen wincing when he made the comment.

Clinton's campaign called the remark "dangerous."

"A person seeking to be the president of the United States should not suggest violence in any way,” it said.

in what way did he "suggest violence"?

You can't possibly believe Trump's and Giuliani's explanation that he wanted 2nd Amendment people to vote for him. :chuckle: But I don't actually think Trump wants someone to kill Clinton. Just a careless comment. With crazy Trump supporters someone might actually do it. :noid:
