Trump's number one demographic is evangelical Christians, 99% of whom are aggressively pro-Trump. Here is a sampling of how these people are dealing with the coronavirus:

Idk, those prayers don't seem to be working too well. Compare the USA's coronavirus stat with that of the European Union:

"Charismatic Pentecostal" and television personalities: Lest you think this is standard fare. "Evangelical" is too broad here because their address is specifically Charismatic Pentecostal as to subject matter and address (they may be evangelical, you and I would have to research, but it is incidental here).

I'm not sure, with your introduction of Trump and your mockery (I'm not Charismatic/Pentecostal either) at the end isn't but political. That is, I'm not sure you wanted to talk about whether such is biblical or possible so this should probably be in the "Politics" section?

Did you read your own chart? It said the main difference in charts was due to "Limited testing." The take away should be that Europe is limited on testing, not necessarily that the U.S. is higher.

That applies to the US as much as it does to the EU.

Also keep in mind that the population of the US is around 330 million, but the population of the EU is ~445 million. Our coronavirus numbers are much higher even though our population is smaller by well over 100 million people.

You didn't get my point, but this site explains the chart better. In this instance, the U.S. tests less but statistics are hard to read without enough information and many statistics get it wrong. It is like the news, they report what is "hot" often without further research. They are responsible for Black Lives Matter (they'd be proud of such) as well as demonstrating, killing, damage, and looting.

Back to coronavirus: Statistics may show something, but number comparisons are half of a story. If you look at the larger numbers, Italy for instance by population, then comparison is quite a bit different and still doesn't tell the whole story. World chart breaks down the percentages

Notice that at the first peak of coronavirus cases, the US and the EU were roughly tied. Then EU cases dropped off while US cases remained high and are now higher than during our first peak.

Getting back to the thread topic...Evangelical leaders claimed to have prayed the virus away, but months later, cases are at new highs. Pastors who thumbed their noses at authority and held services in spite of guidelines to the contrary have become sick, and some have even died of COVID-19. Apparently, God has other plans with this virus.

It might make sense, if the numbers could be tied to that. Have any links? Just a working theory?

Do you have a working theory for why coronavirus case numbers dropped off in the EU? Did they just cut back on testing to bring the known number of cases down artificially, or did cases actually drop while testing efforts remained the same?

Plenty of politics in evangelizing...

speaking of which can you read this political statement...a law of commandments found in ordinances of the enmity the Jews had for goyim?

You know...which He abolished making from Jew and gentile a new man from the two...a citizen of Israel?

Not sure He abolished it for political reasons or to evangelize...

I leave it nice and big so you can see the letters...

Maybe evangelicals could post some of these around their places

and replace “intruder” for “COVID 19 may not enter”...

or wear it like a mask...around your neck...since you replaced what He abolished...

There are ten commandments on TOL (you should like this):

1. Thou SHALL NOT use profanity or insinuated profanity on this forum. Crass potty humor is also discouraged here at TOL.

2. Thou SHALL NOT attempt to upload profane images or video to our website or post links to profane material on our website. Profane avatars, usernames, and profile images are also illegal and will result in instant banishment.

3. Thou SHALL NOT be intentionally blasphemous or unnecessarily disruptive. Emphasis on "unnecessarily disruptive." We will ban you if you are presenting yourself as an unneeded distraction (yes this is subjective - live with it). Be mindful of the spirit of the discussion.

4. Thou SHALL NOT call other TOL members names without cause. Appropriately identifying the wicked is not only allowed but encouraged. Again, TOL is a right-wing Christian forum and therefore our bias is not hidden.

5. Thou SHALL NOT hijack threads or be a "thread pest" (Hijacking a thread means intentionally changing the subject of a thread to discredit the thread's purpose. And being a "thread pest" means you pop into random threads just to make a mocking comment with no other purpose than to marginalize the discussion). If you are not interested in the topic of a thread, you might just want to stay out of it.

6. Thou SHALL NOT post copyrighted material on our website (without prior approval). Plagiarism is also a bannable offense - If you are posting material written by others, make sure to give them credit.

7. Thou SHALL NOT troll our forums. If you are here to make outlandish, crazy statements merely to get a rise out of the membership and cause trouble, please save yourself the time and leave.

8. Thou SHALL NOT attempt to redirect members to another forum, website, or blog. (Profile and signature links may be allowed with administrator approval.) Using our PM system to redirect members to other forums or websites is also a bannable offense.

9. Thou SHALL NOT disrespect TOL moderators and admins (if you are asked by a TOL moderator to alter a post, your signature, avatar, or other input on TOL, please respect that request). If you have been banned, please wait-out your ban. Please do not re-register using a new username unless you have made a special arrangement with the TOL staff.

10. Thou SHALL NOT advocate or encourage criminal behavior on TOL. Personal threats and/or advocating criminal behavior will result in an instant ban. Making racist comments and other unnecessary personal comments may also cause banishment.

All of the above commandments are subjective in nature and will be determined on a case by case basis by the TOL staff.

Other things to avoid... These items may or may not cause TOL banishment.
Please do not stalk another TOL member. If you do not agree with a TOL member, do not follow that member around the TOL forum engaging them in every thread (even unrelated to the disagreement). If we determine you are a forum stalker we will ban you.

Please do not post in ALL CAPS or in all bolded text.

Please do not post SPAM unless its by our design, and even then please be creative and keep spamming to a minimum. Do not make it your obsession or you will be banned. Spam is making posts with just a word or two or just a smilie in an attempt to boost your post count.

Please do not make posts that are extremely long. Anything over 6 short paragraphs may be considered too long. Don't attempt to make your whole argument in one post. (Battle Royale's are exempt from this rule.)

Please do not copy and paste your previous papers and writings (like high school or college papers) without prior approval. TheologyOnLine is for dialogue.

Please do not marginalize TOL threads or TOL members, the topics and threads that interest some TOL members might not interest you. Just ignore threads and TOL members that do not interest you.

Guess which ones you broke...

I do like rules...surprised you do too...but not by when they do matter to you...or which ones

The OP is a teaching opportunity and yet you wish to not defend Mr Copeland his odd zealous faith practices but that he not tarnish another’s (your?) good name...Can’t have a eccentric believing faith healers be seen as one of ours eh? Too close to home? Copeland at least does what all of us have been taught——->Just PRAY your ills and poverty away right? I mean it’s not about lifestyle or truth or obedience to Him His way but just “pray and grace“...

Rather than explore opportunities to discuss faith, prayer, healing, obedience to civil authority that shut prayer houses down...you merely wish to redirect the “mocker” to another place on the site...You doubt his intentions and motives...You don’t even allow for his answer if he did wish to speak on “whether such is biblical or possible” but seek to shut down the opportunity...

And poorly...as if politics and customs have nothing to do with evangelizing to all nations...Did you even watch the video before your summary dismissal? Christian leaders are making it political dragging Pelosi into it and the government...

You even continue In follow up posts making it about numbers and statistics and NOT prayer...faith...obedience...

But I get the book thrown at me cuz I remind the inquisitional court its Pharisees have ALWAYS dismissed or vilified the “OTHER!” in attempts to maintain its power...and not spreading the good news...

I even provided photo evidence of that ancient political power displayed In attempts from getting “contaminated” by OTHER An “Other” that insist it remains Yah first...His Way which INCLUDES politics...and prayer for healing

The photo is of a “mask of enmity” which was abolished as the “Other” was no longer unclean or a contaminate...healing as the two were joined...the new body unchanged

Rather, it'd be the same slam as "Christian." Whatever is wrong is wrong. You, say something about the Lord Jesus and Law. What separates you is "Other" so its a bit ironic that you'd see someone else distancing as a log in their eye. :nono: Splinter. Remove your own log.

Television show. You don't think Gilligan and the castaways are really on an island. Honestly? You like arguing just to fight. There is something wrong in your repertoire.

Ok coach time for you to get tested for “crown virus”...

Which crowned evangelical are you?

The “good one” that does not convert the Jew as they have their own way and the wall that separates the Jew from gentile has been replaced...Sabbath is for just jews dontcha know...

Or the “bad evangelical” that desires to save the Jew and insists come to Jesus because there is no more law just faith and love is all you need...

So watch this...sit back and enjoy the game...try and read the plays defense and offense

And then come back to this thread and say evangelizing is NOT political...

https://youtu.be/RXrSdgOy7co

Is that enmity, you know your claim the Sabbath, abolished? and Jews should just accept Jesus forget the Sabbath eat cats bats and wombats just love Jesus and other people too...making you a “bad evangelical” and threat to Poor Jewish children...

Or are you a “good evangelical” leaving Jews alone as the wall which separates us and them STILL remains...theirs is the Sabbath and their own way and we have Grace...so no need to evangelize Jews...

Or are you completely MAD...building an apartheid state where some do and some don’t...

Because the enmity remains?

Was NOT abolished by Him IN HIM making one new man of Jew and goyim? Joining us...grafting us into Israel...no longer foreigners but citizens...establishing the Law as inner Jews with circumcised hearts...

Yes? you MAD? That is a whole new virus indeed...

Did you read your own chart? It said the main difference in charts was due to "Limited testing." The take away should be that Europe is limited on testing, not necessarily that the U.S. is higher.

Increased testing does not automatically mean the number of cases identified will go up. Look at the state of New York - testing has INCREASED (blue bars), but the number of positive cases has DECLINED (yellow bars).
