Jesus Christ is NOT Jehovah, and anyone who loves the truth can readily discern this.
Then why refer to yourself as a Christian?
If you claim to worship Jehovah.....then call yourself a Jehovahian.
Jesus Christ is NOT Jehovah, and anyone who loves the truth can readily discern this.
He is YHWH, as is the Father and the Holy Spirit.
Response to post #2093:
Seems like your post is almost as long as CR's. Well anyway, I don't understand why you think GOD has to die for mankind. The Scriptures don't say that anywhere. In fact, Paul brings out that a man comparable to ADAM is what is required of the Ransomer. Not God. Can you provide a scripture that says that God must die for mankind?
We "anti-trins" keep saying over and over that we do not believe we can earn our way to heaven (or paradise Earth). You choose to ignore what we say and keep on spreading lies about what we believe.
I can take this apart very readily. After you answer my question about Psalm 110 and Isaiah 61.
We have refuted it strongly many times! It's not difficult to do. I just asked anyone to explain how Jehovah could be talking to Himself and "anointing" and "sending" Himself (Psalm 110; Isaiah 61), and if you can explain why He would do such a thing, would you do that?
We believe that Jehovah was speaking to His Son, Jesus Christ. But you think that Jehovah was talking to Himself, right?
Jesus Christ is NOT Jehovah, and anyone who loves the truth can readily discern this. All those who look on will hopefully research this and see for themselves that they are two separate Beings. Can you explain how Jehovah can be talking to Himself at Psalm 110? Can you explain why Jehovah would anoint Himself and send Himself at Isaiah 61:1,2? Or are you just going to call me names again?
Nope! Try again!
Some Christians from time to time, most of the time they don't have filthy minds, make an error. Then they "turn from" and get it right with Christ. But these are "works" that will be burned (i.e. getting taken to the woodshed because God chastises us because he loves us)and not "works" that will damn you. That judgement has already happened when one accepts Jesus' payment of the cross. A christian is one who has settled "out of court."
I'm still waiting on an answer to my question about 1 Corinthians 5... Were they believers or unbelievers?
This is how I know I'm teaching the right thing.
There's a litmus test that Paul gives (not outright, but by which one can determine if they're teaching what he's saying (which in turn comes from God)).
SpoilerWhat shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.For he who has died has been freed from sin.Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him,knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him.For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace. What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves of uncleanness, and of lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves of righteousness for holiness. - Romans 6:1-19 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans6:1-19&version=NKJV
There's NO hope after you leave this world, (In death) if you reject the Gospel. There will be NO second chances. According to the Bible, the unsaved will be held in a place called Hades (Hell) which is a place of temporal torment. The unsaved will, at the appropriate time, stand before God and be judged according to their works and cast into eternal damnation in the Lake of Fire. This is the same destiny for Satan and his ilk.(The Lake of Fire, that is.) Revelation 20:12 "And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works."
Revelation 20:15 "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."
Revelation 20:10 "And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever."
So one minute you say there is no works, then you say that we will be judged according to our works?
And yes we will be judged according to our works. And to reject the gospel is to not to obey the gospel, and not live by the word of God that is preached by Jesus and his apostles including Paul.
Nowhere in the Bible does it say that we are saved from our future sins. That's not the truth, we are forgiven of our sins that we had done in ignorance when we repented, from then on we are judged on what we do good and bad just as Paul says. All that are cast into the Lake of Fire will suffer throughout eternity. The only way to escape this horrendous situation is to hear the Gospel and place all of your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His death and resurrection.
Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
Romans 10:9 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
Romans 10:8-9 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved
In order to be saved from this awful place of eternal damnation, one must; confess they're a sinner and place all of their faith in Christ as their Savior. You must believe that Christ died for your sins and the sins of all mankind, (Past, present and future sins, alike) you must accept that He was buried and subsequently, raised from the dead. (Resurrected) Getting saved is not just mumbling a few words or walking down an aisle at a revival meeting, it's a work of the Holy Spirit, who makes you realize you're a sinner, makes you realize that you need a Savior (And, that Savior is Christ) then, you must make a 'free-choice decision' to place ALL of your faith in the living Christ who died for your sins.
Once you have made that decision, the Holy Spirit, seals and indwells the newly saved person. Henceforth, they cannot lose that salvation and eternal life that God gives to them. Once the Holy Spirit has finished His work, you are, forgiven of all your sins, you are now a member of the Body of Christ, and you are guaranteed to spend eternity in Heaven. You cannot lose what the Holy Spirit has done. Getting saved is a work of the Holy Spirit.
To make it simple, if right now, you earnestly accept that you're a lost sinner and you earnestly believe that Christ died for your sins on the cross and was raised from the dead, then, you may want to confess to God that you're a sinner and you believe that Christ died for your sins and was resurrected from the dead and you may want to ask God for forgiveness of all your sins (Past, present and future) and ask God to indwell and seal you with the Holy Spirit and tell Him you wish to become a member of the Body of Christ. Once you have done this and you truly place all your faith in Christ alone and not your good works, your church, your doctrinal beliefs, etc, after this, you can rest assured that you're a 'True Christian' who has been forgiven of his sins, and will inherit eternal life with God, in Heaven.
If you're not sure if you believe at this time, then, ask God to show you how to come to Him and be saved?
We will all be judged what we do good and bad, even your own apostle Paul tells you this! The ones being judged in Revelation 20:12 are the unsaved throughout history. The unsaved will be judged by their works. However, their sins were NEVER payed for on the cross, therefore, they have to suffer for those sins in the Lake of Fire, for eternity. The saved people will be judged (Without punishment) for the rewards they will receive while in the flesh. There is no condemnation/punishment or Hell and Lake of Fire for those who are saved, through faith alone.
I read them often, and there's no way that Paul teaches that we can still wilfully sin and be saved. As seen in Romans 1 and Galatians 5!If you desire to prove what I'm saying is correct or to just learn about the Gospel for today, then, read the writings of the Apostle Paul in Romans through Philemon.
I can take this apart very readily.
