The poor thing has had to face opposition. It is called being an adult.
Surely you're not calling what you girls did "opposition", are you? That's like calling a toddler's tantrum "opposition". :rotfl:

"Arguing over the use of a word." And how quick they jump.
You've nailed it, Trad. Exactly. And all the venomous hate-filled posting that has taken place here on TOL, because someone dared bring up the subject of rape. It's been embarrassing to watch. All over how different people use certain words. :nono:

Don't let the door hit you in the hind end on your way out.:luigi:
That's the polite term for liberal debate tactics.

You're the queen of venom, it's been an education watching you. Thank goodness you don't speak for all women. Now that would be an embarrassment for us.
Oh, so there's a "qualifier" now for flat out stating that people can deserve to be raped then, "because of their actions"? You think that already wasn't part and parcel of the thread, his whole quote included? Get a grip you prat.
You've just 'justified' rape, in that a victim of such has "earned" it by their "actions", be it baring a leg or stripping off on Broadway or any other scenario you could feasibly or rather not come up with.
This isn't about inadvisable behaviour or your pompous sense of morality or situational ethics believe it or not.

Yes, they justify rape. Plain and simple, that's all there is to it. They can deny, deflect and obfuscate all they want, but it won't change a thing. They justify rape.
jus·ti·fy ˈjəstəˌfī/ verb verb: justify; 3rd person present: justifies; past tense: justified; past participle: justified; gerund or present participle: justifying 1. show or prove to be right or reasonable. |
I know....
Especially the "Knuckle-dragger's"!
Who knew that there were female knuckle-dragger's here as well?
again, the rapist is wholly responsible for his behavior and the consequences of that behavior (prison)
why are you so reluctant to admit that the woman is also responsible for her behavior, if it was contributory to the consequences?

The woman might be responsible for putting herself in a dangerous situation. But it ends there. Nothing about deserving rape, earning rape, etc. Rape happens when a man violates the will of a woman. That's his choice alone. No amount of promiscuous behavior on the woman's part transfers part of the responsibility for the rape to the woman.
