I'm not defending ISIS, I believe that they are possibly the most abhorrent grouping to be found of any size in the world today.

But the issue with using a term like terrorists is definition, a few hundred years ago our government was calling your founding fathers terrorists.

The Assad regime called the free Syrian army terrorists. The Turks call the Kurds terrorists but they are our allies in IRAQ.

Nuanced answer may seem odd at this time, but there really useful when your deciding who to point a gun at.

In hindsight most of the big decisions made by many administrations in the last few years in the middle east have been bad ones, I would not rush in to make another.

Terrorists.... those that aid, promote and advocate terrorism.

Currently those that are associated with ISIS and groups like it.

Warfare is not a new solution to this issue we have spent the last 14 years at war in various Muslim countries and its made the situation worse.

In this instance it may be the solution but its never an automatic and simple solution.

Ideally we would leave them alone because we would find fighting them a waste of American military resources and lives with no real gain but since the beheader was sending a message to Obama to leave it seems that option is probably closed lest we make it appear like we are leaving because we got threatened by some sorry Muslim loser, exactly what they want. They really don't want us to leave. They really want us to stay and fight.
