Behind the New Testament, you see, is a collection pages called the Old Testament. I don't know if you are aware of this, many of Christians aren't. :chuckle:
Jeremiah 48:10
Cursed be he that doth the work of the Lord deceitfully: and cursed be he that withholdeth his sword from blood.
Jeremiah 48:1 "Against Moab. Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel:" Let's keep 48:10 in context, shall we, and misinterpretation to a minimum?
Let us also not forget God's sense of irony:
Matthew 1:1-5 "This is the genealogy of Jesus the Messiah the son of David, the son of Abraham: Abraham was the father of Isaac, Isaac the father of Jacob, Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers, Judah the father of Perez and Zerah, whose mother was Tamar, Perez the father of Hezron, Hezron the father of Ram, Ram the father of Amminadab,
Amminadab the father of Nahshon, Nahshon the father of Salmon, Salmon the father of Boaz, whose mother was Rahab, Boaz the father of Obed, whose mother was Ruth,..." You know, Ruth, the Moabite?
In all things we should seek God's direction, not our own!
