The biggest evidence of the Flood? The world ocean.

I've heard his viewpoint for years. I just don't have a problem with him voicing his opinion about the earth. Let him talk if he wants to; nobody has to engage him.

Seriously, why?? His opinion is just that, an opinion, just like yours. A lot of your viewpoint is only "theory" also since you were not there to see how it all took place. He's not hurting anything or anyone by voicing his opinion as we all do.

Hmm. I like these kinds of questions! I'm no expert at all in geology, so pardon me if my questions seem naïve about some things I've heard. Don't we have continental crust (granite) and oceanic crust (basalt) side by side all around the world (not layered atop and below, but side by side)...

It is grammatically plural but does not always denote a plurality. The same with the word elohim. While it is grammatically plural it can be singular or plural. English equivalent would be words like sheep, deer. They can be singular or plural.

The biggest evidence of the Flood? The world ocean.

Nah. We have metaphors and types and imagery throughout scripture that represent Christ. I don't demand it has to be. I don't need for it to have the exact word of "chaos". I get the notion from the earth being without form and void. Physical death was available as soon as plants and animals...

The biggest evidence of the Flood? The world ocean.

Yes it does. Gen 1:2 tells us of the waters of the deep, and then tells us the firmament (expanse) was to divide those same waters. The firmament (expanse) is in the midst of the divided waters. waters of the deep firmament (the divider) waters of the deep There are not two firmaments, there...

I didn't say there was. And there is nothing wrong with metaphor. It seems like you are trying to make none of it metaphor. Now what?

The biggest evidence of the Flood? The world ocean.

Nah. I don't try to perceive the message through natural science, but through metaphor. I see it as telling us that there were waters (plural) called the dark deep in Gen 1: 2. The deep seems to be a metaphor of a dark chaotic state. And then God creates light and dry land to be in between the...

One deep divided by one firmament. Land and sky, the area that sustains life.

I believe the waters of "the deep" is the same as in Gen 1:2. And the single firmament (the expanse) was made to separate the waters of the deep (Gen 1:6) in order to have dry land and an atmosphere in between the waters that would sustain life.

So? He has a right to his viewpoint of what "firmament" means.

Genesis 7 KJV (11) In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. It seems that water came from below and from above. Which some scholars...

You have probably heard it said that 3 items were placed inside the Ark of the Covenant. stone tablets jar of manna Arron's rod That notion is basically taken from a reading of: Hebrews 9 ESV (3) Behind the second curtain was a second section called the Most Holy Place, (4) having the golden...
