Ruth Bader Ginsburg has died

I was watching straight feeds from the helicopters and from eyewitnesses on the ground. That's live. Not filtered through Fox's talking heads.

I was watching live feeds also. And I didn't need CNN or MSNBC "talking heads" to explain what I was seeing or hearing. I sincerely don't believe Fox News is using me or programming me with common talking points distributed ahead of time like the questions posed to VP Biden's "town hall". Can the man even think without a teleprompter? That's a rhetorical question.

Get beyond the title of the magazine and look at the SOURCE of the information they're providing. And then tell me if you think it's pitiful. I know the info doesn't confirm many people's biases here, but it's information funded by the State Dept. Did you not see that?

One can't dismiss the source. If the source is Pravda, should it carry the same weight as the Indianapolis Star? We all saw the bias of the State Department and the FBI during the Democrats impeachment fiasco.

U.S.-based ACLED is funded by the State Department’s Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations as well as foreign governments and other organizations, including the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the German Federal Foreign Office, the Tableau Foundation, the International Organization for Migration, and The University of Texas at Austin. It relied on data collection from the U.S. Crisis Monitor—a joint project led by ACLED and Princeton University’s Bridging Divides Initiative—that tracks and publishes real-time data on political violence and demonstrations in the U.S in order to “establish an evidence base from which to identify risks, hotspots and available resources to empower local communities in times of crisis.”

These departments are filled with political appointees. Whether they can truly report irrespective of political leanings, I cannot say. We haven't seen unbiased leanings in the FBI and State Department, or was that something else not reported by the Lame Stream Media. [I do apologize to anyone taking offense to my term "Lame" in my nickname for the majority of media. Maybe I should just call them an extension of the DNC.]

He is NOT you or your wife, is he? Would you care to clarify that's not at all what I said?

My wife and I have never worked at Walmart, only shop. At age 70, I am still getting phone calls and e-mails wanting my engineering services. My wife is not capable of working and I've chosen to spend as much time as I can with her, as our Lord allows. She is a Rock spiritually. I'm a better person for being married to her. The engineering jobs I have been presented with would require separation. This is totally unacceptable.

And we were told for 8 years that President Obama was coming for our guns. And he never did. Neither will Biden.

He was prevented from doing so because the Republicans stood in his way, thank God. Going back a little further, President Clinton and Vice President Gore did go after my 2nd Amendment rights. They restricted new pistol magazines to be artificially restricted to 10 rounds, and some guns were banned. Since President Bush allowed the law to be sunsetted, I now have my freedoms back. This group of Socialists wants to go further than the President Clinton administration. And there is NO science to support their position. NONE!!!

With that said, I am exiting this topic and will be spending my time on other subjects.

We were talking about the marches, not Biden, so I'm not sure why you felt the need to get that dig in.

You completely sidestepped the fact that you insinuated I wanted to come for you and your wife's guns when I wasn't even talking about you or your wife, only that I didn't think any Walmart employee should be open carrying unless they were security.

I don't think any Walmart employee should be open carrying on the job unless they're trained security.

You want to take my guns away from me and my wife?

That you don't acknowledge that you twisted my words is disappointing, so it's probably a good thing to end the conversation at this point.

You may have been talking about marches. I was talking about mobs. Maybe only Fox reported the truth and you were unaware it. Check out the riots in Portland, if you dare.

I refuse to acknowledge or apologize for something that only happened in your mind. I am disappointed in you which will probably not end here. Your choice.

Marchers =/= mobs. You do a disservice to millions of peaceful marchers by smearing them with the actions and intent of a small percentage of them.

I refuse to acknowledge or apologize for something that only happened in your mind. I am disappointed in you which will probably not end here. Your choice.

Then there is no misunderstanding, you are being dishonest. The quotes are there in front of you, plain to see.

Don't bother to reply, I won't answer you - as you said, you were exiting this topic.

I would go with 15. All really young justices. Rush them through. No input is needed from the extreme right, liberty-hating GOP.

Works for me. The problem is that the Dems have been too nice, too diligent during Trump's term in following norms and legislative niceties. That only works when both sides respect the rule of law. Now that Trump and Barr have shown how easy it is to smash the norms, let's see what they do when it's done on the other side of the aisle. :)

I have actually been saying the same thing for years. Dems are too nice. They need to be relentless and hit back so hard that the lawless thugs in the GOP will think twice about continuing with their unpatriotic antics.

Now that Trump and Barr have shown how easy it is to smash the norms, let's see what they do when it's done on the other side of the aisle. :)

Didn't the Dems accuse Trump's last Supreme Court nominee of being a serial rapist? How "nice" of them.
