is there an official orthodox interpretation?

Well, we are not, after all is done and said, all that OFFICIOUS...

Mind you...

But there are some good Patristic commentaries...

It is the basic understanding of that Book that was interesting to me, in that it is the Revelation by God of the KIND OF LIFE that Christians can expect...

In some ways internally...

And others externally...

And it is very Mysterious...

It is the ONLY NT Book from which NO mention is EVER made in ANY Orthodox Church Service... (I am quite sure that I am right in that statement...)

But the whole structure of the Orthodox Churches and the Divine Liturgy Services is built around it... The Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom, for instance, and that of St. Basil, the longer one... The words of Revelation do not form a part of our worship services... They are not chanted in the Readings of the Church either...

I do not understand that statement
but
I do know chrysostom
one of the greatest saints of all time

no book of the bible gets more attention than the apocalypse
and
I do believe chyrsostom had something to do with getting it into the bible

We serve his Divine Liturgy all but a few times during the year...

I think you are right - It was the last Book to become accepted as a part of the Kanon... We do not give it much verbal attention, which I think is why it took so long to be accepted into the Kanon of Scripture...

But go get your Service Book of Chrysostom's Divine Liturgy and show me where even so much as one sentence, or clause, from Revelation is chanted in it... You will not find one...

yes, I know all about that
but
I also know he was in ephesus at the end of the fourth century replacing exactly seven bishops
and
do you think he didn't learn more about the apocalypse?
did he find the original?
the revised?
did he revise it?
before that time it was not officially in the bible based on what exists today

I am unaware of that part of his biography...

This is his loving his neighbor and turning the other cheek. Better crank out a few hail Mary's to make up for it.

I nailed the pervert for his post about re-publicans and democrats. He doesn't like it. And he doesn't really have his RATO support anymore.

can you help us understand why a democrat would want to
destroy the democratic party?
