His argument is one huge fail. Just because the people you use the word around have a different meaning for it than the reason whites used it for in the past still does not make its usage right. Besides, as a bystander, I can still see the word being used by blacks to celebrate "gangster" character in the person they are addressing. It just so happens that if a white person calls a black person that name, he is saying that person has a "gangster" character too, but he thinks gangster character is not something to be celebrated and emulated but shunned and despised.
