Hello Insight me. Personally, I can only speak what I know about how the King James English Translation uses the word angel. Angel and angelic is referring to a sentient super-natural being of the heavenly sort. That means it is humanoid.have you ever noticed the Quran using the term " "Injil" " when referring to the Gospels
perhaps this was to promote the Greek word "" ángelos " meaning "messenger" or "angel,"
the word angel has roots in ancient Greek literature and philosophy and also is similar to the word " "Injil" "
perhaps Mohammud was attempting to use a Greek form of the word " Message " referring to the Gospel which means
euaggelion = good message / good news as " "Injil" " - as a side note, the word " "Injil" " is not an Aabic word but is of unknown origin to most people
God created the super-natural angelic beings. Just like he created the humanoid sentient being of our natural realm. You may find this interesting: When God sent Adam and Eve from the Garden, they were not allowed back... BUT noting is said about angels, Lucifer/Satan not going and coming in and out.
Now regarding God's created visible super-natural bodily form/ his image, It seems that God could appear to mankind with it and go back and forth as well. His image could dwell in fire and God could also lower the intensity of its glory in order to speak to people. 74 men saw God's presence and ate and drank in his presence and were not harmed. Exodus 24:9-11. God, with his super-natural bodily form is not limited in the way we are with ours. We have one body and it manifests once physically. God can manifest his image as often as he want ... but Genesis says that HE, the ONE God, created a singular image for "our use." God already had in mind to appear to men in multiple ways but still use only his one image to represent his being ONE God.
God happened to prove for Abraham and Lot that he was willing to use his ONE image to represent HIM as three visible identical Lords. It should be easy now to understand how Jesus was correct to say: When you have SEEN ME, you HAVE SEEN the Father. They are both God just one appeared as a super-natural angelic presence (sometimes called the angel of the LORD) and the other appeared in mortal flesh. Same ONE image... so they looked alike! If anyone had seen the Father they would have recognized Jesus ... and been able to accept that he was the promised one to come. Isaiah 43:11 I (God the Spirit), even I, am the LORD (God's appearing with his visible created presence); beside me (as God and as the visible LORD) there is no Savior.
Jesus was just that ... God finally appearing as Lord on earth as Emmanuel the promised Savior. No man at any time had ever seen God as the begotten Son/Savior! John the Baptist proclaimed him to the world. John 1:18
These three Lords were all the one God on the same mission. Able to talk with Abraham, so see Lot, and still accomplish their mission that night in the streets of Sodom. Multi tasking in its greatest form! Because they were the ONE God they bore God's ONE image ... just in triplicate. Lamentations 4:7 compares their angelic visible bodies with the bodies of the people destroyed in Sodom --- words like: purer than snow, whiter than milk, ruddy in body than rubies, with polishing of sapphire. The bodies of the people of Sodom are described this way: a visage blacker than a coal, with skin that cleaveth to their bones;, whithered, like a stick.
