There is a lot of aural good in Megadeth, Iron Maiden and Slayer, but there just isn't enough for me, to counteract the challenges these bands impose on me as a listener as well. What's the expression; the juice isn't worth the squeeze.

It's good music to listen to if you want to race yourself 100mph down some back country road at night and drive yourself a cliff. That's about it.

You could try opera. Dovlet is pretty good but I'm not sure how often he's in the US. Meet him just by chance years ago. Still gives me a call about once or twice a year when he's in town. Always brings some nice whiskey from whatever country he was in last and usually a bit of homemade brandy to go along with it. 😂

They don't any microphones when they sing. It's really amazing how their voices are trained to carry so far without them. I can't even hear my wife talking to me from the next room.
