Buffy Sainte-Marie - Starwalker

Buffy Sainte-Marie

This woman is a legend, an inspiration. A true human rights and Native American advocate, humanitarian, artist, visionary.

Lyrics:

Starwalker, he's a friend of mine
You've seen him looking fine
He's a straight talker, he's a Starwalker
Don't drink no wine
Ay way hey o heya

Wolf Rider she's a friend of yours
You've seen her opening doors
She's a history turner, she's a sweetgrass burner
And a dog soldier
Ay hey way hey way heya

Holy light, guard the night
Pray up your medicine song
Oh, stake dealer you're a spirit healer
Keep going on
Ay hey way hey way heya

Lightning Woman, Thunderchild
Star soldiers one and all oh
Sisters, Brothers all together
Aim straight, Stand tall

Starwalker he's a friend of mine
You've seen him looking fine
He's a straight talker, he's a Starwalker
Don't drink no wine
Ah way hey o hey...

Aya hey hey heyo way hey heyo
Ay hey hey heya
Hey way hey way heya
Heya wey yoh
Ay hey way hey way heya

Wonderful anthem song from the 1986 album 'Colour of Spring'

Wonderful anthem song from the 1986 album 'Colour of Spring'

Lyrics

Nobody knows how long
Rustling leaves unrhyme
Lullaby breeze unsung
Babel of dreams
Unwinds in memory

As bad as bad becomes
It's not a part of you
And love is only sleeping
Wrapped in neglect

Time it's time to live,
Time it's time to live through the pain
Time it's time to live
Now that it's all over
Time it's time to live,
Time it's time to live through the pain
Now that it's over,
Now that it's over

Kissing a grey garden
Shadow and shade
Sunlight treads softly

As bad as bad becomes
It's not a part of you
Contempt is ever breeding
Trapped in itself

Time it's time to live,
Time it's time to live through the pain
Time it's time to live
Now that it's all over
Time it's time to live,
Time it's time to live through the pain
Now that it's over,
Now that it's over,
Now that it's over

As bad as bad becomes
It's not a part of you
The wicked and the weeping
Ramble or run

Time it's time to live,
Time it's time to live for living
Time it's time to live
Now that it's all over
Time it's time to live,
Time it's time to live for living
Time it's time to live
Now that it's all over

Now that it's over,
Now that it's over

Now that it's over

Now that it's over

Rest your head

“Oh! Susanna” is a song written by Stephen Foster. It was first published on February 25, 1848. Popularly associated with the California Gold Rush, the song is occasionally (and incorrectly) called “Banjo on My Knee”.In 1843, the year Daniel Decatur Emmett established the Virginia Minstrels as the first blackface troupe in New York. Foster, 16, was working as a bookkeeper for his brother’s business in Pittsburgh. His brother, Morrison Foster, was a friend of the early circus blackface clown, Dan Rice, and the young Stephen came under Rice’s influence.
