Some people are punished more severely than others. God judges by the heart, and punishes or rewards accordingly. Jesus says that some will be punished with many stripes, and others with few. He also mentions that it will be worse in the day of judgment for some in Israel than it will for Sodom and Gomorrah.

It's not nonsense and it has everything to do with what Chair said. Nobody's pretending that Jews who were slaughtered by Nazis believed in Jesus as their savior, as nobody is pretending that those who were murdered at Virginia Tech were all Christians. The reason I posted it twice is because you and Chair seemed to skip over it the first time.

Whether one believes in Christ or not, God knows the heart of each person, and deals with each differently according to their sins.

I don't really understand what all the confusion is. It is really very simple.

Here's the obvious one:
"Did some of those murdered go to hell?"
The answer:
"I don't know."
The follow up question:
"What if some of them refused Christ as their savior?"
The answer:
"I don't know, though it is likely that they will spend eternity apart from Him if that is the case."

I really think that is as about an honest answer as anyone can give you.

I don't believe chair wanted an honest answer. He wants "his" answer.
