Hmm, what conspiracy theories do you think I ascribe to - else what were the smileys in aid of?
True. Read that link. It substantiates all of my concerns as viable. In addition, the last 4 people (nurses doctors) I talked to said they are holding off for now. From what I'm reading, in Chicago, if doctors or nurses hold off, they are being suspended. To me? Seems politics are getting in the way. I JUST want facts. My cousin told me I'd be 93% from being able to give it to others. He is wrong (according to the American CDC linked). -LonEverybody is being very cautious, Lon, and you read cautious as "it doesn't work!"
Again, leave masks aside for now. Say they don't exist.
How can one stop it from spreading?
You're just too lazy to actually look into the science.I know that you have an alternate science.
You're just too lazy to actually look into the science.
If you can't be bothered to look into the science, then consider the math now that the numbers have come out by the CDC: Of the deaths in the US, 16% were excess deaths. About 10% of that can be accounted for (even by their over-inflated numbers) by COVID. The other 6% is caused by the change to society, lockdowns, mask mandates, and social distancing.
Had we done no mandates, and even no vaccine, we wouldn't have ended up reaching that extra 6% total.
But wait! There's more! A bad economy is the death note that keeps on giving. We'll have excess deaths due to the mandates for years to come - unlike a pandemic that gets dramatically weaker every season.
This would be closer to fascism than socialism. You'd think they'd be able to see that. And that is what socialism is, corporations and government fused together by leftwing ideology.
Yeah, I've been saying for some time now that the US is pretty much done. While we were sleeping, the socialist takeover of America has already happened.

Sorry, I'm not going to deny reality.
The aerosolized particles, however they're created, that carry the virus (which is much smaller than said particles), are themselves much smaller than the holes in masks.
You never answered my question, Chair:
Why do you assume you can stop the virus from spreading?
Which was in response to this question:
Please answer.

You can accept the math or swerve into supporting the kind of regime that killed more people in the 20th century than all pandemics combined.

The lockdowns forced people to be in close proximity with infected people (and typically without masks, as they were in the same household) for long periods of time. What better way to make sure that the infection spreads? My point is the virus spreads from person to person, via aerosol or droplets. One can stop the virus from spreading by:
1. social distancing. Yes, including the hated lockdowns
Ima go withMy point is the virus spreads from person to person, via aerosol or droplets. One can stop the virus from spreading by:

2. vaccinating people so that there are less infected people around to spread the virus.
Do you agree?

Fine. Just don't tell me I'm wrong about lockdowns, mask mandates, and social distancing.Believe it or not, I have better things to do in my life than check every idea that somebody throws me on some forum. So yes, I am lazy in that regard. I expect somebody will call me nasty names as a result- so be it.
Since it has been shown to you as sure as math that lockdowns kill more people than COVID, why do you continue to say things like this?1. social distancing. Yes, including the hated lockdowns
Regarding the meme about Bill Gates selling lemonade in your neighborhood:Ha ha. You guys have really drunk the Kool Aid.
Duh.
No, one cannot, and it's ridiculous to think one can.
Doesn't work. The virus hangs around in the air inside of the above mentioned droplets for many hours, which renders "distancing" utterly useless.
And BECAUSE they hang around in the air, the are affected by air currents, meaning they can also spread via ventilation systems, etc.
As has been mentioned before, the only way to prevent oneself from taking in the virus is to use a fully enclosed environment suit.
Which simply destroys the economy. It does absolutely nothing to "stop the virus from spreading."
... only, as you or someone else said previously, lessen the severity of the effects of being infected. Vaccines are not cures.
The fastest way to achieve this is to have populations acquire tribal immunity. The way to do that is not trying to "stop the virus from spreading," but instead allowing it to run its course.
What I think has nothing to do with it. Reality is what disagrees with your conclusions.
There are two ways to achieve "tribal immunity". One involves everybody getting sick, and many thousands dying. . . . .
. . . . The other is called a "vaccine", which is much safer. Why do some choose death over life?
