Trad, do you dislike black people?

ok doser

But the ear is fashioned by something other than biology in this regard.

only if you choose to think of it that way

iow, defining a bizarre "reality" doesn't make it any more real

Like I noted earlier, all words don't carry the same weight and there are reasons why.

sure they do - it's all in how it's recieved

call a fat broad a fat broad and watch the feathers fly

I can't decide that you calling my grandmother a sexually charged and insulting thing isn't insulting or powerfully so. The insult and impact is rooted in the culture we share

i don't share your namby pamby "culture

and in a biological truth that gives it force.

no such thing - just another construct that you're insisting is so

She is a woman and there is a history of powerful denial and pain in the distinction of our sex.

and there's not, as well

see Boadicea

It's the measure of truth and its nature, the thing taken and bent to perform an insult that mostly generates its power.

gosh, that just sounds impressive as all get-out

but like most of the drivel you post, there's nothing there

Continuing my answer, ****** is one of those words. It was used to both identify and dehumanize and is rooted in an old truth shaped into a horror.

to some, perhaps

not to all

a race that wasn't treated like property, mutilated and raped and systematically denied the right and respect human beings should be born to

maybe in alabama

--and that happened, generationally here

right - in alabama

, within much of the brief life of our nation and common culture. Some of it within living memory.

well, you guys are scum

Black people aren't really offended by the word.

Here's a bit of the reality that black people are aware of in function:

Leonie Huddy and Stanley Feldman, for instance, found that about 40 percent of whites openly state that “a little” or more of the economic difference between blacks and whites can be explained by “racial differences in intelligence” and “fundamental genetic differences between the races.” Likewise, results from the venerable General Social Survey reveal that over half of whites would prefer their close family members marry white spouses than African Americans (see results in “supplementary material,” here).

Michael Tesler, professor of political science at UC Irvine from Using the N word is more common than you may think, Washington Post, June 2015

In case your eyes glazed, approaching half of whites actually still believe they're born superior to blacks and over half of them don't want blacks in their family tree.

Meh. I've seen it my whole life, and it's the same exact thing every time. Only a fool sits there and believes they are actually offended by it- or maybe one just never spent too much time around them to realize it.
As to the narrower point, feel free to conduct this experiment. Find a place near where you live where there are large numbers of black people to be found. Go among them and greet each with, "My ******" and smile. Let us all know what happens, how amused and unoffended by the use they are. I'll even kick in a little for your recovery time.

:mock: Town the Clever - too clever by half

You know, if you and doser spent a quarter of the time in self-reflection or on topic that you do talking about me you'd be a Buddha and the world's problems would likely be solved already.

I omit considering sod's nonsense because it's mostly just the paper he wraps around his issues to peddle a different malice and there's no real truth in it beyond that. Also, he's less adorable. :)

Oh, but it's just fine when Town is patronizing those with Asperger Syndrome, isn't it?
Have you heard how he belittles them and talks about how their limitations keep them from understanding his brilliant posts?

Those in your court are so hypocritical, Queen Bybee. :nono:

We are not amused by you and your ilk....

Town wasn't patronizing those with AS by asking a serious, simple question.

It would only feel insulting to someone who does not consider that to be their challenge in life, because who want's to act autistic online if they are not?

We are your topic, Clownie. Admit it.

Except that I never actually did that. :plain:

Actually, what I said is that people who suffer from Asperger's struggle to understand and frequently miss the inferential, which is why I once asked you if you had Asperger's, as does LH and Trad, if memory serves.

Those in your court are so hypocritical, Queen Bybee. :nono:
Bybee? Nah, she simply struggles with suffering a certain sort of person.

We are your topic, Clownie. Admit it.
Well...no. Honestly, when you're not speaking to or about me I don't think of you. Why on earth would I?

The bull is running out of your ears you're so full of it. You can infer whatever you like from that one. :chuckle:

Nah, but it's easy to settle: quote me.

Or I will:

No. One of the limitations of people who suffer from Asperger's is a difficulty in understanding inference. You appear to suffer from the same limitation, if without the understandable excuse.

I'm not making fun of people with Asperger's. And as it pertained to you I mean it, literally. Your response to my scripture about lust was a fine illustration of precisely what I'm speaking to.

You can infer whatever you like from that one. :chuckle:
I infer your nature. And it's adorable. :)
