I... have never owned a car. But... My favourite car I've driven was a Land Rover. My other half and myself had it until july this year. It completely broke down, and it was cheaper to buy another than fix it. I miss that car. Our new car sucks. It's a Ford Estate, and it's horrible to drive. Weird turning circle, and way too heavy in the rear, especially in all this snow. Last christmas, we had no problems driving in the snow in the Land Rover. This year... it's been stuck on our drive since last week, and I've been walking everywhere. Sigh.

I can't pick just one.

I had two that I really loved.

The first was my 1971 Plymouth Satellite. It had a 318 so it wasn't very fast but it sure was nice looking and it always ran like a charm. I am guessing it got better gas mileage than most current vehicles. I ended up selling it to a friend, I think he wrecked and sent it to the junk yard. Man... I wish I still had that thing. :(

The other was a 1966 lowered "cal style" VW bug. My wife wrecked it twice but she also had it fixed and repainted. Finally, after I blew the motor for the second time I sold it to a guy in Co Springs.

I (we) have owned a lot of cars. And pick a favorite is tough.

I have had several 1957 Ford two-door sedans, one I liked was the one I put a 428CJ in, which size wise in dimensions it was very close to the Ford 352/390 FE. It fit fairly well, I had to use a six cylinder radiator to ensure a good fan clearance; what a sleeper.
BTW, I used 1957 Ford's when I raced at Colorado National Speedway.

Then there was the 1964 Pontiac LeMans coupe, that I put in a 421 Pontiac V-8 with dual fours. Two words - Road rocket.

Then there was the 1969 Ford Torino Talladega that we we bought new, another big block 428CJ with a C-6 transmission. It was sure fast going to the grocery store.

Can't forget the 1971 Plymouth Fury I, which had 440 wedge head V-8. We had it for about a year. Three words - Brute force powerful.

How about the 1984 Thunderbird Coupe that we had, my son help put a 351W in it. Fun, Fun, Fun!

The favorite actually goes to the 1949 Plymouth Special Deluxe 4-door sedan. We ran the wheels off it so to speak, well at least it it wouldn't run any more. We found another one and did the same thing with that one. One word - Dependable.

The old 49's gave way in 1964 to a two year old 1962 Ford Galaxie 500, two tone, 4-door sedan, a really nice family car that we had for 5 years.

Of course there are others, but that is for another time.

There is no dought in my mind.

The first truck I had was a S-10 SS. It was by far the best vehicle I ever had. It had a very hot engine and was very fast, good looking too. Never gave me any trouble other than the tickets it got me, and got me into some good times too.

Now the funnest car I have driven is my Dad's Chevelle with a 468 Big Block. It could snap 100mph in less then 8 seconds.

The most fun had the worst performance. Stock 72 bug. I could accelerate faster on my bicycle and top speed was somewhere around 75, but....

In the snow it was a blast! it was a stick with the hand parking brake and with the weight of that engine in the back I could just snap it around corners. Lots of fun!

And when it would end up in a snowbank, I could usually get it out by hand.

My 2007 Ford Five Hundred. Bought it new in 2007, and the more I drive it the more I love it. The all-wheel-drive really helps in ice and snow. The heated seats are great. The audiophile stereo is fantastic. It really makes driving a pleasure. I only wish they hadn't re-named it the Taurus. =(

You just reminded me of a car my eighth grade homeroom teacher drove: a Porsche 914. The football team picked it up and put it on the sidewalk one day, and she went nuts, since it was her BF's car. We were kind enough to put it back on the street for her, and he never found out.

My all time favorite was my 1957 Chey Bel air two door hardtop. Now that was a classy car.

I have had quite a few over the years now I have a 2007 Honda CRV. And I can't say enough about it. It gets me where ever I want to go in rain or snow. I have to admit it is not the best riding car I have had, but it is the funnest to drive. My kids now call me zippy.

My 1992 Toyota Corolla Station Wagon. Has only 79,000+ miles and has never given me a problem. One owner, dealer maintained. I regularly get offers to buy it. A true gem of an auto.

A 1978 Corvette - my husband bought it for me in the late 80's. Gosh, I loved that car. Now I drive practical things, like SUVs. It sucks to get old and sensible. :(

1971 VW Bus with the Westfalia camper package. These are not my photos, but it sure looks like my bus, except mine had a white top and the curtains were white. I always kept a change of clothes, a sleeping bag, and a tooth brush in the the thing, and if got tired I just found a place to park and slept. The bed was very comfy!

My 1986 Plymouth Reliant K station wagon. It was my first car, and I paid for it myself. It was covered with L.A.Kings stickers and I loved it. Unfortunately, it died a slow, terrible death and had to be replaced with a 1991 Ford Escort.

I've had two cars. Well, 3 if you count the minivan I drove until I bought my own car. :noid:

1992 Mitsubishi Diamante - Loved that car. It had a good look with some good performance and some nice features inside. Mechanically it was a disaster though. I bought it for $5000 and put around that much into it just to fix up various trouble. Timing belt went which caused some significant engine damage. Transmission needed some major work at one point. My computer went and had to replace that. I don't even remember it all. But I still miss that car in some ways. Maybe because it was my first.

Now I have a 2001 Honda Accord. I definitely like this one too. It has been more reliable than my last car. Still some good performance and mostly the same features I had in my last car. I plan to make this car last a long time.

The one car that I never owned but I always wanted to is a 3000GT. There is a white one for sale near my house that I'm tempted to buy :noid:
