That's what all you lefties said about Ronald Reagan.

To be fair it was mostly Republicans who fretted in 1976 and 1980 that Reagan was too conservative for a general election. Democrats at the time just thought he was a clueless, easily-manipulated shill (or a complete wing nut). In other words, politics never changes.

One of the things that makes some people comfortable with Newt Gingrich is you know what you are getting. A cross between George W Bush and William J B Clinton.

Well, I'll be hearing Newt speak this morning... but I'll be supporting Santorum. He will speak Sunday night here in my state. Probably won't go --- too far from home. I've talked to a lot of people in favor of Rick. I hope there will be a lot of excitement at the mass meeting today. We are all going to be in one place because of some redistricting that has occurred this year.
