An update on Town Quixote's numbers, in the era of diminishing forum returns...I did this a few years ago, largely through November of 2016. I've done so little with the thread over the last few years and understanding the swift downturn for public forums that I wondered how things stood in terms of views and views per post.
So, for the heck of it, here it goes. I wish I'd started this thread in the heyday of participation, but that's life for you. Things were still humming along six years ago, though the original thread, Observations, had about a quarter million views on about 3k posts, so the traffic here was crazy between 2007 and 2010 or so. Anyway...here goes.
Town Quixote's
2013: 900 posts and 32,464 views, 36.1 Views Per Post Avg.
2014: 743 posts and 38,238 views, 52.1 VPPA
2015: 789 posts and 57,518 views, 72.9
2016: 523 posts and 43,497 views, 83.2
2017: 188 posts and 28,489 views, 151.5
2018: 104 posts and 8,095 views, 77.8
2019: 118 posts and 11,232 views, 95.2
This thread did about 4k business on around 60 posts between this time last year to now. About 65.8 views per.
A Momentary Life did 6,771 views on 140 new posts for 48.4 vp
