They Made Me Gay

They think the same against adultery as well. We all have 'degrees' of unacceptability. I'd expect, you are for the death penalty for child rape? I'm not. I am very much against them being allowed in public again, however. They need ankle bracelets or something and need to be monitored the rest of their lives, if they are not incarcerated permanently. That's my degree of unacceptability. I'm not even for the death penalty at all, except for supporting another's right to an eye for an eye. It isn't my view, but I'm not wholly against the death penalty, just not for me. -Lon

I would add castration to that list.

To add to my last reply on this, yes, some of them do and doesn't that strike you as disturbing? That the far right would, if they could, have people killed under their own dogmatic brand of 'theocratic' law?

those would be Christians :thumb:

the only rights homosexuals should have is the right to be executed

and those would be disgusting pervert-enablers

like you! :)

Executed? what on earth?

Why would you even want people executed?

I don't agree with homosexually, and i think that it's wrong before God, but i wouldn't want anyone executed. That's a bit harsh don't you think?

We should bring God to others with the hope that they turn from their sin, not want them executed! What did Jesus do regarding the woman caught in adultery, when the pharasees asked him what they should do with her as they picked up stones to stone her?

He didn't say execute her, he said "those without sin cast the first stone", we should look at ourselves first and foremost, bring the word of God to others and leave him to judge their hearts, and leave it to him to decide when their lives should end.

What you're now likely to get is a treatise in how Jesus only avoided a legal trap laid by the pharisees as it would have been unlawful for the woman to be stoned. Hang everything else...

Be prepared...

not all people, silly

adulterers, homosexuals, pedophiles, drug dealers, murderers (including women who abort their babies), pornographers, rapists

What do you suppose Jesus wrote on the ground that day and what convicted everyone to leave until only Jesus and the woman were alone?

Be original for once and give a sincere answer.

:)

Blimey, do you ever think of what some of those people might of gone through in their lives?

What about drug dealers, who were brought up by drug dealing, drug taking parents, who don't know God?

And before you say that I'm soft, no I'm not, I believe that regarding many of those things, people should be locked up for, some for life. And anyone who hurts a child should never be let out again. But execution is going too far. God gave life and only God should take life.

Jeremiah 17:13 O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters.

They tried to play a game with God, they only brought the woman, the law required that both the man and woman be there.

i think that if society was set up to deal harshly with those who commit capital crimes, there would be fewer people committing capital crimes

and the lives impacted by those who commit actions that should be capitol crimes would never be impacted

So what about for instance, you have a child, brought up by drug dealing parents, heroine addicts themselves, as he gets older, he is also sent out to sell, he's never heard anything about God and thinks that what he is doing is alright because he's never known anything else. Would you have him executed?

Or a girl, raped by her father and pregnant, again never knowing God not knowing what to do, she is advised to have an abortion, and she does, would you have her executed?

I'm totally against drug dealing and abortion etc. But, I think we walk on a fine line when we start just saying that we should execute others for what they do. Especially if they don't know God and we don't know what they've been through.

We have to be careful, because knowing God we can be much worse than those we condemn and we should do look at our own hearts and make sure that they are right before God and if we are right before him, then he will give us wisdom to judge others by his word.

The law courts will deal with the sins of the world and God deals with the sins of the heart, those born of God should just bare witness to the truth and his word will judge and leave the final judgment in his hands.

in a just society, this wouldn't happen :idunno:

there wouldn't be drug dealing parents

there wouldn't be children brought up by drug dealing parents

there wouldn't be heroin in this country

because anybody who tried to bring it in would be executed, swiftly, publicly and painfully

Yeah, that didn't take long, did it?

Of course, if that was it he could have made it clear with a, "You want the law? Adhere to it!" or "Where is the man?" But that's not what he did.

Yeah, long enough to know trolls and legalists who have no answer when put on the spot. Again, why did Jesus write on the ground and what convicted everyone to leave besides the woman if it was only about Jesus avoiding a legal trap?
