I agree with you Keypurr, she has a strange theology.

Where in these verses does it say Jesus is the word?Jesus was the Word. Follow the dots.
John 1:1 King James Version (KJV)
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:14 King James Version (KJV)
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Where in these verses does it say Jesus is the word?
I don't see the name Jesus. Do you?
If not, your assuming words that are not there.
That's a no no BR.

No I don't, you just can not prove your point.I am not assuming a thing. You refuse to follow the simple rules of logic.
You don't think that these verses are referring to Jesus? You keep proving my point, thanks.
You are great at assuming.
Where is the name Jesus in verse 1?
Where is the name Jesus in verse 14?
Maybe my eyes are failing because I don't see it.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John bore witness Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’” And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him. Now this is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?” He confessed, and did not deny, but confessed, “I am not the Christ.” And they asked him, “What then? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” And he answered, “No.”Then they said to him, “Who are you, that we may give an answer to those who sent us? What do you say about yourself?” He said: “I am ‘The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Make straight the way of the Lord,”’ as the prophet Isaiah said.” Now those who were sent were from the Pharisees. And they asked him, saying, “Why then do you baptize if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?” John answered them, saying, “I baptize with water, but there stands One among you whom you do not know. It is He who, coming after me, is preferred before me, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose.” These things were done in Bethabara beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing. The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! This is He of whom I said, ‘After me comes a Man who is preferred before me, for He was before me.’ I did not know Him; but that He should be revealed to Israel, therefore I came baptizing with water.” And John bore witness, saying, “I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him. I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’ And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.” Again, the next day, John stood with two of his disciples. And looking at Jesus as He walked, he said, “Behold the Lamb of God!” The two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus. Then Jesus turned, and seeing them following, said to them, [RED]“What do you seek?”[/RED] They said to Him, “Rabbi” (which is to say, when translated, Teacher), “where are You staying?” He said to them, [RED]“Come and see.”[/RED] They came and saw where He was staying, and remained with Him that day (now it was about the tenth hour). One of the two who heard John speak, and followed Him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which is translated, the Christ). And he brought him to Jesus. Now when Jesus looked at him, He said, [RED]“You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas” (which is translated, A Stone). The following day Jesus wanted to go to Galilee, and He found Philip and said to him, [RED]“Follow Me.”[/RED] Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. Philip found Nathanael and said to him, “We have found Him of whom Moses in the law, and also the prophets, wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” And Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.” Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said of him, [RED]“Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!”[/RED] Nathanael said to Him, “How do You know me?” Jesus answered and said to him, [RED]“Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”[/RED] Nathanael answered and said to Him, “Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!” Jesus answered and said to him, [RED]“Because I said to you, ‘I saw you under the fig tree,’ do you believe? You will see greater things than these.”[/RED] And He said to him, [RED]“Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.”[/RED] - John 1:1-51 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John1:1-51&version=NKJV |
You do not need to copy and paste the book of John for me, I have spent countless hours studying that book.Have you tried looking in the rest of the chapter, like I showed you?
Here, I'll quote John 1 for you, so that you can see for yourself that Jesus is the Word. I will color the words in a way that should make it easy for you to understand what is being said.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. I didn't paste the first chapter just so you could read it. Are you colorblind or something? I color coded names and titles of God, Jesus, the Spirit, the Father, the Son, the Word, etc. I want you to examine each colored word, and compare it with the other words of the same color. You do not need to copy and paste the book of John for me, I have spent countless hours studying that book.
The WORD became flesh in the body of Jesus. The WORD is the logos, the express image of GOD. A SPIRIT BEING that needed a body prepared for it/ him. Jesus is that body, I have shown you many times that the WORD was in Jesus and spoke through him.
You are not interested in the truth, your content to follow the traditions of men. I wish that I could get you to understand that there is more to theology than what you hear on Sunday.
The logos (word) is a created form of the most high. He was given the power of his creator. He Obeys and pleases his Father who he tells you is the only true God, yet you close your eyes to please the folks around you. The sad part is you have the drive to seek what is true.

You don't think that these verses are referring to Jesus?
That is amazing keypurr. You've really shown so clearly that you are either completely stupid or a bold-faced liar (most likely both).
John 1:14-18 (AKJV/PCE)
(1:14) And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. (1:15) ¶ John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. (1:16) And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. (1:17) For the law was given by Moses, [but] grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. (1:18) No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared [him].
John 1:29-31 (AKJV/PCE)(1:29) ¶ The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. (1:30) This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me. (1:31) And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.
The SCRIPTURE clearly and unambiguously shows WHO is being spoken of in verses 1 and 14 and that is Jesus!
Quit lying and become a believer.

You are a liar keypurr. So I'm not worried about calling you one.Be careful, the Mods will see that you now called me a liar.
Your "spirit takeover" story is a lie.For the 10,000 time I will tell you that the WORD was IN Jesus.
Jesus became the Christ when the WORD went into him.
But Jesus is not the logos, the logos is the EXPRESS IMAGE SON, a SPIRIT like his creator.
I do not need to lie RD for I tell you TRUTH, the truth from the Bible.
You do not wish to see truth, it would upset your Apple cart.
You are a liar keypurr. So I'm not worried about calling you one.
Your "spirit takeover" story is a lie.
Your "God copied Himself" story is a lie.
I have seen you tell lie after lie here.
The WORD became flesh at His BIRTH, not at some later "spirit takeover" time.
You are an unbelieving heretic, plain and simple.
I've explained this simple problem of yours a million times.Heb 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
I've explained this simple problem of yours a million times.
The SINGLE Greek word translated AS "express image" is 'charakter'. This is where we get the English word CHARACTER.
It is in NO SENSE whatsoever a COPY of anything.
The LORD Jesus Christ is the CHARACTER of God.
Remain a heretic if you like, but you've been warned.
