The resurrection was NEVER in doubt. The resurrection was a foregone conclusion.

What was in question was if Jesus was going to go to the Cross of Calvary or not.

That decision was given to Him by the Father.

“The Father loves the Son and [the Father] has given all things into his [the Son's] hand.” (John 3:31–36) Included in ALL things, was the decision to go to the Cross of Calvary or not.
