I like that Lam. 5:21 verse it reminds me of Jer. 31:18

Amen Brother, and Jer. 31:18 also confirms the fact that none can turn himself to God, but that we that are His Sheep John 10:11, are Turned by the Power of God passively as the Saving Results of the Death of Christ our Shepherd; for His Stripes / Death are responsible for that alone !

1 Pet. 2:24-25

24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

Christs blood/Death converts them He died for, His Church or Sheep into a kingdom of priests Rev 1:5-6

5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Amen to #18 and #19 !

One of the Blessed Saving results of Christ's Death / Blood Rev. 1:5 for His Sheep or Church or Elect, is that at some point in our lifetime, we are Sovereignly Made [ordained or appointed to] a New Creation; an Holy Priesthood Rev. 1:6: A Kingdom of Priests, which entails Offering up to God Spiritual Sacrifices of Worship and Praise, and Calling upon His Name throughout the day and night.

1 Pet. 2:9

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Luke 18:7

And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

1 Pet. 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

Is that not justification?

It seems to be a process. One started by GOD. But if one is sanctified then they will do the works pleasing to GOD would they not?

Also; is it not for the elect to reconcile all things unto GOD; even the sheep; which are not the very elect?

Yes, it absolutely does Brother.

So, consequently, those who are never given Spiritual Life weren't any Christ died for !

Religion is like using words to convey truth in an experience and words have different meanings literally and especially from one to another so we speak past each other. God chose the foolishness of preaching and it is just that, foolishness. Theology has it's sects that agree on terminologies. If I say the words "kingdom", "body of Christ", or "church" for example, many automatically superimpose their own meanings, especially with theologians, so the communication breakdown occurs. It's to the point that "now" has a special meaning and rightfully so.

I was raised in a church that men shared their testimony of salvation, it held an awesome power for me in such a way that it was clearly understood because it was their own words and think it is the starting ground for sharing the gospel.

So, is their anyone here that what's to testify in their own words from the heart with out quoting scripture to share their salvation experience? Systematic theologies have their place and worth the study but most fail because within them there can be false teachers in so much that the very elect can be deceived. It is Christ that saves and only He can judge the hearts of men and it will always be by His grace we are saved.

Key point here, even the very elect can be deceived and is possible without great signs and wonders. A simple wolf in sheep's clothing can devourer the scripturally unlearned.

Mat_24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

All the death in the world speaks loudly and who knows how much that moment can change a life of sin, it's far from over until death.

It's not by works of any kind and never has been. We can do nothing for salvation and our best hope is to fight a good fight to the best of our ability when we strive for salvation to please our God, then he will say not good enough because we are sinners and he will point us to His Son. We need to die to self and surrender to Christ as Christ died surrendering to His Father's will and that is not easy for men that strive to do good as we should in Christ.

We must die to self as Christ did. Christ said after he fulfilled the righteousness under the law...why call me good, there is none good but God.

Mat_19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

For me it is this...Christ fulfilled all righteousness for us and that alone should have been good enough but God the Father required more of His righteous Son for a world of sinners to be saved. So, Christ of himself died also for us and we need to die of self to Christ.

1Co_15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
1Co_15:31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

Redeemed from the curse of the Law !

Those Christ died for are consequently saved, redeemed from the curse of the Law. Gal 3:13

13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

Now it tells us specifically how these believers were redeemed from the curse of the Law. Succinctly stated "
being made a curse for us:" This refers to His death, its the same as when he wrote to the Church at Corinthians these words "For he hath made him to be sin for us"

So anyone for whom Christ died, has been redeemed from the curse of the Law.

So when Jesus shall say to these Matt 25:41

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Its absolutely impossible any of these on left hand, can be anyone Christ was made sin or a curse for !

Amen Brother !

Christ's Death alone Redeemed all His Sheep or Elect from the curse of the Law Gal.3:13; meaning He as their Surety from Everlasting Heb. 7:22; Heb. 13:20, and on their behalf, has abolished death 2 Tim. 1:10 for them Is. 53:6 and eternal separation from God, resulting in complete exoneration of all sin 2 Cor. 5:21: Totally obliterating any possibility of them ending up in the second death Rev. 21:8; such as to which the goats Mat. 25:41 were predestinated to be forever Cursed in torment and misery for their sins against God's Law !

That's not what Heb 2:9 says !

That's exactly what Hebrews 2:9 says!

Hebrews 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.

Hebrews 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

Another passage of scripture that Illustrates and proves that Christs death effects saving/converting results is 1 Pet 1:18-21

18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

19But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

Why is B57 allowed to ignore the entire forum? Is TOL his private blog?

How much bandwidth are users allowed to use without ever responding to a single thing anyone says and just posting one bald assertion after another without any intention whatsoever of every engaging anyone in anything that even resembles a discussion never mind a debate?!

And why is the word MAN not in the Greek text , or are you a KJV-ONLY BELIEVER !!

Amen Brother ! The Saving / converting results of Christ's Death according to 1 Pet. 1:18-21, provides Spiritual Blessings for all God's Elect 1 Pet. 1:2; Eph. 1:3-4; Christ's Sheep John 10:11; Heb. 9:12, during their lifetime which include:

A conscious Knowing: "Ye Know" (v. 18);

A Spiritual Seeing John 3:3:

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

The same as a Lively Hope 1 Pet. 1:3; which is Faith, Believing in God 1 Pet. 1:21 and Given by God the Holy Spirit in New Birth Gal. 5:22, and which is the same as the word "see" [eido] in John 3:3, Born Again, which all those Christ's Death was for, God's Elect Titus 1:1 shall most assuredly experience in their lifetime !
