xxxSanctified is the washing of water by the Word. Puting the verses in your belief system and pushing out your carnality. Jesus said that God gave Him a command of what to say and what to speak. Jesus gave us the Word to live by. And we are to live by the same Word He did. Every verse is a spiritual principle. The verses work just like our alphabet does. Move them around and say different things. This is the hidden language of the Holy Spirit. You have many reasons why you do what you do. When your reason for doing anything is a verse from the Holy Spirit you are sanctified.

6 Now these things, brethren, I have figuratively transferred to myself and Apollos for your sakes, that you may learn in us not to think beyond what is written, that none of you may be puffed up on behalf of one against the other.

I have read Matthew through Revelation. It is not the new testament. But you may or may not call this the new testament. The Scriptures are not to be thought of as a new covenant.

The Scriptures are not wrong. The terms Old Covenant or Old Testament and New Covenant or New Testament have been applied to Scripture. But the old covenant is the covenant that God made with the people of Israel at Mount Sinai, even the Ten Commandments. The Torah has been called the Old Covenant or the Old Testament. The Bible is not wrong. I do not know why you say that the Bible calls the new testament the new covenant. I do want to know if the term New Covenant or New Testament was given for the 27 books from Matthew to Revelation before the term Old Covenant or Old Testament was given for 39 books, Genesis to Malachi.

The words that you are having difficulty with between me and you are the following.

What did Jesus, Yeshua, mean?
Do you know what a thief is? Do you know what a robber is?
What Jesus said is true.
Do you know what a thief and a robber are according to the Law?
Jesus' statement seems to be so much greater and all encompassing, than the mere strict definition a thief and a robber. If you look at anyone you may be able to say of them that they are not a thief or a robber if you can tell somehow that they are not, but then since all have sinned each and every one of us is a thief and robber. If I say compared to Jesus, who observed and taught the Law, or keep and taught it teaching others to do the same, that does not make sense using the word compared because no one can be compared to Jesus who was perfectly obedient to God's words, His commandments, the Father. No one can surpass Jesus who was perfectly obedient to God. However, we are called to obey God's commandments, in Jesus Christ. You are correct. It was about those who came before. False Messiahs, prophets, religious leaders, those of Israel, anyone.
