You ignore Ephesians 2. Galatians 3, and Romans 10.
How am I ignoring anything?
I'm just asking you a question.
Based on your belief, which you have admitted in this thread:
Heb 10:16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
Heb 10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
Who is 'them/their'?
Guarantee you that he isn't ignoring it at all...
And neither do I.
We (Steko and I) agree that in the Body there is no difference between Jew and Gentile.
So, with that in mind, to whom is the "them/their" referring?
To all of us. You and I and Ben Avram (sp?).
... that Hebrews is referring to people like yourself in Hebrews 10:16-17, and because you also claimed:
If you consider yourself a new covenant Christian then the law of God applies to you. Paul clearly tells us this in 2 Corinthians chapter 3.
... and you clearly do, thus my question to you is:
What tribe are you from?
I ask because Hebrews 8:7-13 states that those under the New Covenant are either God, whom I presume that you agree are not Him, and "the house of Israel and the House of Judah" (verse 8).
Same author. Why make him argue with himself?
Why are you asking me that?
You're the one who says that it's the same author, yet seem to think that I'm ignoring what Paul says in other books because you can't accept the fact that a verse in Hebrews 8 contradicts your position.
What sort of cognitive dissonance does one have to have in order to blame someone else for an inconsistency in their own belief, when the person is literally just asking a question and quoting scripture to support it?
ESPECIALLY after I said: "We (Steko and I) agree that in the Body there is no difference between Jew and Gentile"!
have no basis for a constructive discussion
Sure we do.
We both believe that scripture does not contradict itself, no?
Therefore, either:
1) You, based on your own claim of being under the New Covenant, are part of Israel, and that Paul wrote Hebrews, thus should answer my question, "what tribe are you from?" instead of avoiding it like the plague; OR
2) your position that we are under the new covenant is wrong, and that what Paul says does not fit with what is said in Hebrews 8:7-13 and therefore he could not have written Hebrews, thus someone else wrote it, and that Hebrews was written to a different audience than the books that Paul DID write.
I agree with Scripture, that there is no difference between Jew and Gentile
IN THE BODY OF CHRIST.
I disagree that the Body of Christ is under the New Covenant, because the New Covenant, as God says several times very clearly in the Bible, was made between God and Israel.
Now. Can you answer my question regarding what tribe of Israel you're a member of?
Or will you recognize that your position is in error, and at the very least acknowledge that what Paul says in the verses you quoted doesn't quite jive with what is written in Hebrews?
Or, will you continue to be a fool and continue to dodge the question?
