The End of the Jewish Religion and the Law

That is teaching salvation by works, by what a person does ! That is law keeping salvation.

Has nothing to do with the law.

What it has to do with is hearing and believing the Gospel, Hebrews 4:2.

If you don't hear, believe and respond to the Gospel, you are going to hell. Plain and simple.

You don't understand why Christ gave the law to the Hebrews. It certainly wasn't to damn them to hell. On the contrary it was for instruction in righteousness.

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17 NKJV)

Jesus taught the law for two reasons.

1. It reveals the righteousness of God.

2. It reveals the sinfulness of man.

Yeah it does. For man to have to do something to get saved, it is a law to them.

Man doesn't have to do anything to be saved, Christ has done it ALL.

Why do you think the scripture says..."Whosoever that shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved?" Romans 10:13.

Better get to calling or you are going to hell.

Why do you reject biblical teaching?

Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. (Galatians 3:24 NKJV)

Say to them: ‘As I live,’ says the Lord GOD, ‘I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?' (Ezekiel 33:11 NKJV)

You are teaching salvation by works again, by what a person does! You teach that what Christ did alone was not enough to save them He died for!

The End of the Jewish Religion and the Law.

The End of the Jewish Religion and the Law.

If Jesus was speaking the truth, the end of the Law would coincide with the end of Heavens and earth, aka the universe. (Mat. 5:18) It means that the Law will never come to an end as long as there is a human being upon earth.

Are you going to stand before a holy God in the judgment and present your righteousness for salvation?

According to Peter now is the time of judgment for the house of God.

For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God, and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? (1 Peter 4:17 NKJV)

"Jesus, when he cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the Spirit and behold the veil of the temple was rent in twain from top to the bottom; and the earth did quake and rocks were rent" Matthew 27:50, 51.

Jesus was atoning for our sins and the sins of the whole world, 1 John 2:2. He was also abolishing the Old Covenant, the law and the Jewish religion.

The veil of the temple was the veil that covered the "Holy of Holies", Exodus 26:33. This was indeed a very significant event. It signifies that the worship of God is no longer mediated through law or religion. It also signifies that God is with us in the person of Jesus Christ and not in a Jewish temple.

The "Holy of Holies" was the heart of the temple and temple worship. No "Holy of Holies" meant the end of the Jewish religion and the law. Paul had much trouble convincing the Jews that they were no longer required to live according to laws, rules and the Jewish religion. Many of the apostles and others, could not accept the fact that the Jewish religion had been abolished. Paul's message now was... "The Just Shall Live By Faith" Romans 1:17 and not by rules, laws or religion. Mainly faith in the work and person of Jesus Christ.

Jesus has established a new and living way. The old way under the Old Covenant is passing away, Hebrews 8:13. The New Covenant is Jesus himself. Jesus is the New Covenant. This is why he said, "I am the way, the truth and the life: no man can come unto the Father but by me" John 14:6.

Evolved Judaism is alive and well.

Ben,

Jesus was speaking the truth, the age of law has passed away.

As a Jew you know that Heaven and Earth is the place where God and man meet. In the Old Testament it was where Abraham went to sacrifice Issac, where Jacob made an alter unto God, where Salomon built the temple and many Jews believe it was where God made a covenant with Adam.

So, in the Old Testament heaven and earth referred to the covenant and place it was made, Mount Moriah. The temple of the Old Covenant was replaced in the New Covenant with a temple that is not made with hands, it is where God and man meet today, within us.

The old covenant ended when Jesus was crucified and the last day, judgment day, came when the temple was totally destroyed in 70 AD.

1Co 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

Jesus is not the end of the Jewish Religion and the Law.

Jesus is the fulfillment of the Jewish Religion and the Law. In Him we have the true Jewish religion. In Him we have more than the Law, not less. Without Him we only have the expectation of the coming Messiah, not the fulfillment of the coming Messiah having occurred in the person of Yeshua (Jesus).

Jesus said if you love me keep my Commandments (Jn 14:15). What are his Commandments? It's not some 600 rules and regulations.

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets (Mt 22:37–40).

Is 29:13, Lk 1:6, 18:20, Jn 15:10 , 1 Jn 2:3-4, 5:2, Mt 5:17, Mk 7:6, Re 12:17, 14:12

The two witnesses will straighten us all :freak: out. :listen: Listen to them (Mt 24:14). The bride must prepare herself, as well. :poly:
