It was an encyclopedia entry, so a bit more in-depth, which doesn't mean right, but does discuss definition in more detail. It does help, especially if they are right that a more modern grasp of the term is beyond religious meaning, and more broadly 'gathering around an idea and goal.' While we really are polarized on topics, sometimes just getting agreement on semantics can go a long way to at least grasp and understanding. Sometimes it can lead another to say: Oh, in that light, I agree and/or side with you.

I think that the projected rise is about 1 meter this century. Serious as that is for the low countries, I don't expect that we will be deserting our lowland homes too quickly.
In forty years our home will be on a tidal island at the projected rate.

Again, are you unaware that the earth suffered an ICE AGE in the recent past? The earth has been warming for CENTURIES due to that. Long before any man-made causes could significantly affect it.

At least you can see that it is happening.

Yes, and I actually understand why. I understand that there is no existential threat caused by man-made actions. The world will not "end in 12 years".
