Texas Crisis & Ted Cruz...

Not good...and certainly not just because of Ted Cruz to be fair...
I liked Ted Cruz back in 2016 when he ran against Donald Trump in the Presidential primaries. Unlike Donald Trump, Ted Cruz spoke the truth and stood strong for traditional Judeo-Christian values. When Cruz boldly stood on stage at the 2016 Republican National Convention and told his supporters to vote their conscience, I was amazed that a politician would say such a thing, as virtue in politics is not a rarity in this day and age, it's completely absent.
Since then it's all been downhill for Ted Cruz: his support of Trump during the Russian collusion and Insurrection impeachments, and now this.

Why do you and the British hate Mexicans so much? Why are you so racist?

There is absolutely nothing any senator can do for Texas, especially in Texas. The only thing I'm mad at Ted Cruz for is cutting his vacation short. How his sharing in the misery of others helps us, I don't know. Personally, I would rather have him rested for the upcoming senate battle than back here.

The only people who are upset with Ted Cruz leaving are morons who don't know what's going on or who can really help.

No argument there. The situation in Texas is appalling and some of the excuses for it, just as much.

Here's some perspective for morons.

Meanwhile, Beto O'Rourke actually cares about his state. While Cancun Cruz was sliding into Mexico, here was Beto:

She's guzzling the Kool-Aid again!

Now I want to help the Seniors of Texas, too. I'll just grab the handy 65+ Texas phone directory. Oh, wait a second, that doesn't exist. So, who was he calling? I know what list a Beto has! A list of campaign donors! Oh, boy! Beto made campaign fundraising calls during a snowstorm. Well, as Clinton says, Democrats can't let a good crisis go to waste.

Is anyone truly surprised that the guy who threw his own wife and father under the proverbial bus would do the same to those he is supposed to be representing?

Just a sec, the news in England has just broken that electricity prices in Texas increase with demand.
A homeowner's bill for recent days has gone thru the ceiling.
So the power stations reap the benefits during crises like this, eh?

Dear oh dear...... Living in a Red State.

No. I am surprised that he was stupid enough to disregard the optics even so, and he only dug himself a deeper hole with his attempts to explain himself.

The joys of deregulation: a few people get richer, the rest suffer.

I'm not sure if you realize how desperate you sound.

Half of the problem could be that Texas privatised it's power production and refused to be part of the Nationalised Grid .
No, it isn't. But thank you for demonstrating you're an ignormus.
Nationalisation can be good sometimes.
Said like a true socialist in a socialist country. Is that another industry you nationalized in England. Yep, definitely a socialist country.
My thoughts go out to the homeless in Texas.
The homeless are doing fine in Texas. They could care less for your thoughts.

eider <-------- A moron who doesn't understand contracts.

Still cheaper than California's power on a regular day.

Yep, people in Texas love freedom. You like it so much, you come to a U.S. forum to see what it would be like to be free.

Ignoramuses who don't understand U.S. or Texas government and stupidly think a U.S. Senator can do something.
The joys of deregulation: a few people get richer, the rest suffer.
Who got richer? You have names? Or you just farting out socialist dogma?

Amazon got rich off of the unnecessary and avoidable Covid lockdowns. How's that for a name drop?
I'm not sure if you realize how desperate you sound.
I don't care how I sound to you. You're as insane as a Jonestown resident.
So how many did he or his volunteers personally shelter? Feed? Provide power to? Deliver bottled water to?

Zip, Zero, Nada, Fist.

Seriously, stop drinking the Kool-Aid. Beto was fundraising. While doing so, he happened to hear about some elderly hermits who his brain-washed volunteers called local Republicans to help.
Tell me about it. I gave up sunny, beautiful Cali to move to the Children of the Corn State that is overflowing with red-hatters ...
And yet you left California? Why? Are things not going well in the PRC?
