Yes, I know that. But the Cubs are not going to bring him up on day 13, it would be too obvious and would likely anger Bryant. They'll wait for an injury and then bring him up (assuming he does well at AAA.)

Kris Bryant will join the Cubs tomorrow, just eight games into the Cubs season.

Mike Olt suffered a broken wrist and the Cubs need a third baseman now.

Min. 8 consecutive 100-RBI seasons
13- Lou Gehrig, Jimmie Foxx, Alex Rodriguez
11- Al Simmons , Miguel Cabrera

I left out one "little" detail

The following are the only men to have at least 8 consecutive 100-RBI seasons in the NATIONAL league:

4) Chipper Jones
5) Albert Pojius

I agree

If no one ever broke 13 seconds, I highly doubt he ran the bases in 12 flat.

How come the time for running the bases isn't as popular in baseball as the time for running the 40 is in football?

I would have liked to know the times of Wilie Mays, Ozzie Smith, Ron LeFlore, Omar Moreno, Micky Rivers, Willie McGee, Barry Bonds, Ricky Henderson, Bo Jackson, Dion Sanders, etc when each was in their prime.
Don't forget Lou Brock and Maury Wills.

How long did it take Sid Bream to get from 2nd to Home in 1992?

Lou Brock and Cool Papa Bell on the night Brock stole his 105th base in 1974.

If you go on youtube and watch it, it's about 7 seconds.

However, Bream is about 15 feet off second base when Cabrera makes contact. So, it probably took him about 8 seconds. That's pretty slow considering some players can run all the bases just a little over 13 seconds.

It was Barry Bonds who really sucked on the play. His throw was pathetic.

Here is how you throw someone out at the plate trying to score from second:

NL@AL: Parker throws out Downing at the plate

Yes, I would have liked to know their times also.

According to the Guiness Book of World Records, the fastest time for circling the bases is 13.3 seconds by Evar Swanson in 1932

In the early 1970's Mickey Rivers tried to break Swanson's record but the best he could was just 14.3 seconds. It's not just about pure speed but also knowing how to run the bases correctly as to not run extra distance.

Plus hitting each base in full stride.

Many runners stutter step as they approach the bags.

And just nicking the inside corner of the base with your left foot. And running with a slight arc between bases rather than making a straight beeline to each base so you can keep going at full speed instead of slowing down when rounding the base.
